CG Technology Releases Opening Lines For Every Week Of 2018 NFL Season
CG Technology in Nevada is not messing around. When it comes to NFL wagering they’re on top of things. After multiple sportsbooks released Week 1 NFL point spreads and totals, they got aggressive with pro football bets.
Just a couple of weeks ago CG Technology released season win totals, yes/no bets for every team to make the playoffs, odds for every division winner, and prop bets for quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs.
On Monday, CG Technology went even deeper into betting options for the 2018 NFL season. The sportsbook operator announced that they’d be releasing lines for all NFL games for Week 2 through 16. Week 17 won’t be added until later in the season.
As you’d expect the maximum bet limit for these games are fairly low since CG Technology is first to market. The maximum bet for point spreads and totals for the early regular season games is just $500. The transparency in the tweet from Simbal above is nice to see. While most experienced sports bettors should know that early point spreads and totals will change quickly, not every sports bettor is aware of this. It’s nice to see a sportsbook operator informing bettors that point spreads will change aggressively if they’re bet aggressively. If you find a team that was rated a little weak, don’t expect to be able to pound those lines too long. In another show of transparency, Jason Simbal, the VP of Risk Management, states clearly that CG Technology will change lines on future games if bettors are hammering individual teams. Sports bettors won’t like it but this is a good way for a sportsbook operator to minimize risk. Bettors wager more money on football (college and pro) than any other sport. The vast majority of the money bet on these games will happen much closer to the regular season. However, releasing the betting options early is fun for the customer and gets a little extra publicity for CG Technology. You can find all of the spreads for Weeks 1-16 below.
