This week at FanDuel Sportsbook, Sept. 19-25

We’re entering the back half of September which means things are really starting to heat up and FanDuel Sportsbook. Here are some of the top events to wager on this week at FanDuel Sportsbook:

  • NFL Week 3: The first two weeks of the 2023 NFL season have certainly lived up to the hype. There have been some incredible finishes, major upsets, and surprise starts to the season for a few unsuspecting teams. Week 3 is looking like another doozy with a few major matchups worth highlighting. We’re excited to bet on the Los Angeles Chargers vs. the Minnesota Vikings, the Denver Broncos vs. the Miami Dolphins, the New England Patriots vs. the New York Jets, and the Los Angeles Rams vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. You can also take advantage of NFL Week 3 promos at FanDuel this week including profit boosts worth up to 50% and No Sweat Bets on your Same Game Parlays.
  • College Football Week 4: We’ve also got a huge week of College Football betting on tap this week. We’re in store for another thrilling week of NCAA action with multiple top-25 matchups in play this week. Number 15 Ole Miss will look to stay undefeated as they take on Number 13 Alabama in a highly anticipated SEC showdown between two of the top College Football coaches in the country. On the other side of the country, Coach Prime and his Colorado Buffalo will head to the West Coast for a big game against Number 10 Oregon. Both of those games kick off on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 PM Eastern Time.
  • Major League Baseball: We’re entering the final two weeks of the MLB Regular Season and there is still much to be decided in both the American League and National League playoff pictures. Five teams are separated by 2.5 games in the NL Wild Card Race, while three teams are separated by only one game in the AL race. Those races should make for some highly entertaining baseball this week, particularly in a few critical series: The San Francisco Giants vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Toronto Blue Jays vs. the Tampa Bay Rays, the Seattle Mariners vs. the Texas Rangers, and the Milwaukee Brewers vs. the Miami Marlins.
  • NHL Preseason & Global Series: It’s hard to believe NHL hockey is already back. The 2023 preseason begins this week on Friday and will continue for a few weeks. This year, the preseason kicks off with an NHL Global Series game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Arizona Coyotes in Melbourne, Australia. This is a historic event for the National Hockey League as it’s the first time the League has hosted a game in Australia. Puck drop for the Melbourne game is at 9:05 PM Pacific Time on Friday.

How to Sign Up

With that out of the way, head to FanDuel’s main page. There, you’ll find two main options: “fantasy sports” and “sports betting.” Click the latter. Then click the state where you’re registering the account. If you’re not located in a legal state, you’re still allowed to make an account and bet with FanDuel Sportsbook. You just have to do it when you are physically located in a legal jurisdiction. For example, I do most of my FanDuel betting in Iowa even though I live in Nebraska.

You need your email, a username you’ll select and a password. One box may prompt you for a FanDuel Sportsbook bonus code, but remember that as long as you register via the link above, you don’t need one to take advantage of the FanDuel sign-up offer.

Be advised FanDuel Sportsbook will prompt you to change the password every now and then for your own security. Once you’ve verified your email and jumped through all the necessary hoops, you’re ready to start betting.

FanDuel Sportsbook Review

So, you’ve made your FanDuel Sportsbook account, being sure to use the best FanDuel promo code when funding your account.

Now, how does FanDuel compare to other online betting offerings? What promo options are available? Which sports can you bet at FanDuel and how can you bet on them? The possibilities are honestly limitless, but we’ll run through a few key pieces of info that should give you a primer.

FanDuel User Interface / Design – Rating 4.6 / 5

On the FanDuel Sportsbook mobile app, you’ll first notice the top navigation menu. This features popular sports, promotions and a quick nav to the available live betting markets.

If you don’t see the sport you want to bet, look toward the bottom. Press “All Sports” and from there you’ll find a large menu of available sports. If you want to bet basketball, simply press the corresponding link and you’ll be taken to the basketball markets page. Once there, use the top nav bar to specify what sort of basketball you’re looking to bet – college, NBA, WNBA, etc. Swipe along if you don’t see what you’re looking for – there are more options than fit the screen in many cases.

On the website, depending on window size, the initial sports menu with all sports can typically be found on the left-hand side of the screen. Once you select a sport, the interface looks basically identical to the app. Again, use the top nav to get to the various submenus and help narrow down the options.

Reading the game markets is easy. For sports that traditionally employ handicaps, the handicap for each team will post on the left-hand side, followed by the moneylines, then the total.

Once you’ve selected a bet, your bet slip appears at the bottom of the screen on the app or on the right on desktop. Select multiple bets to build a parlay – that option will sit right below the individual bets on your slip. If it’s a FanDuel Sportsbook same game parlay you want, simply find the relevant game and click the small “More Wagers” link beneath it. You’ll find same game parlays in the submenu.

Overall, FanDuel Sportsbook has one of the cleaner, simpler navigation systems. It can be annoying that it takes several clicks to get to the markets you want, but just remember sports > leagues > select the league you want to bet. It certainly helps that the app and desktop interfaces provide seamless transitions since they look and behave so similarly.

FanDuel Betting Markets – Rating 4.7 / 5

As a sportsbook with an international ownership group – parent company Flutter owns brands like Sky Betting & Gaming and Paddy Power – it’s no surprise FanDuel Sportsbook offers both a wide and deep array of betting options.

Markets offered range from prominent U.S. leagues like the NFL and NBA to Aussie rules football and Challenger Tour tennis. Even within a sport like basketball, FanDuel Sportsbook offers bets on leagues from New Zealand and Canada.

FanDuel offers a full array of futures markets as well, updating divisional and conference futures for weekly examination. You can also bet on all of the major awards, from the prestigious Heisman Trophy to the NBA’s Most Improved Player.

Props abound as well. Again, click “More Wagers” under the major markets for a given game to open up a full prop menu.

Keep in mind when using FanDuel Sportsbook that certain bets may not be available in certain jurisdictions. See state-by-state info below for more details.

FanDuel Promotions – Rating 4.3 / 5

Like any good sportsbook, the discussion of FanDuel promotions begins with the FanDuel sign-up bonus. Currently, when you sign up with FanDuel Sportsbook you’ll get a Bet and Get welcome bonus. Simply bet of at least $5, and you’ll get $200 in bonus bets.

For returning customers, they’ll want to frequently check in on current FanDuel Sportsbook promos, and there’s an easy way to do so. Right up at the top of the app, underneath the FanDuel Sportsbook logo, you’ll find a small “Promos” button right next to the “Live Now” betting submenu. You can find the same button on the left-hand side of the website, or simply click “Promotions” at the top menu next to “Home” and “My Bets.”

Weekly and current promotions will be listed here. Click each one to see if you have to opt in and how to go about taking advantage.

If it’s an odds boost you’re looking for, “Boosts” is its own similar page right next to “Promos” on the menu. Find current FanDuel Sportsbook odds boosts there to help increase your potential payouts, but be sure to research each one thoroughly to be certain you’re really gaining value. Some boosts add little to nothing compared with a regular bet or parlay.

FanDuel Support – Rating 4.7 / 5

FanDuel offers a multi-pronged support for answering customer queries and concerns. First, you can peruse the company FAQ to see if they have an answer posted for you there. If you still need help, you can try a few options.

In the bottom right corner of the support website – asking for support on the app takes you to the web – you’ll find the option to live chat with an agent. They may have the ability to walk you through whatever issue you’re experiencing.

Otherwise, a support email will enable you to ask a specific question. Response times vary, though. It may actually be quicker to reach them on Twitter @FanDuel_Support. They seem to respond within a few hours in most cases.

FanDuel Banking Options – Rating 4.8 / 5

Of course, using FanDuel Sportsbook for betting means you need to get real money on there. Luckily, they have an incredible array of deposit options. Basically, if you have inclination to get money on FanDuel, they have an easy way for you to do so.

Keep in mind that not all deposit options are available in all states. Local regulations may limit your options. But, here are some of the easy ways to fund your FanDuel Sportsbook account:

  • Online bank transfer
  • Paypal/Venmo
  • Debit card
  • Credit card
  • Cast at affiliated retail sportsbook

Withdrawal options will generally look similar. FanDuel can also send you a physical check in the mail. Be aware that several options for FanDuel Sportsbook cashouts will take at least 24 hours or up to several business days. So plan ahead if you need the cash.

This mostly comes down to personal preference. The two experiences are quite similar, as the FanDuel team has done a good job porting over the FanDuel interface to the app. If you’re on the go often, you’ll find yourself using the app more often. If you’re frequently sitting at a desk, you’ll probably use the desktop version more often. Either way, FanDuel Sportsbook provides a very positive user experience.

Can I bet with FanDuel Sportsbook through my old FanDuel fantasy sports app?

No, which may be why some fantasy sports aficionados will prefer the web experience. You can more easily toggle back and forth between the sportsbook and the DFS lobby there. On mobile, you ‘ll be swapping between two separate apps.

Yes, both PayPal and Venmo are available as options for depositing funds into FanDuel Sportsbook.

FanDuel Sportsbook made a mistake grading my bet. How do I get my winnings/money back?

First, be sure to thoroughly read over your bet slip. It’s possible you made a mistake or misread the market. In such cases, there’s nothing to be done. Make sure to also read over the terms and conditions about your bet type. In some cases, bets may be canceled at the operator’s discretion.

If you’re still certain FanDuel has erred, it’s time to contact support. FanDuel offers numerous avenues through which to contact customer service. An agent can hopefully then walk you through the situation and get it sorted if a mistake was indeed made.

If you’re still adamant FanDuel has unjustly held your money, and support can’t or won’t help, you’ll need to contact the local regulatory body. You can raise a dispute with them and hopefully get things solved.
