Zurich Classic Odds

The 2025 PGA Tour golf season continues, with TPC Louisiana next on tap to host the Zurich Classic in Avondale, Louisiana, beginning Thursday. Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry headline among Zurich Classic team bets this week, as John Haslbauer provides his favorite picks from all the golf odds for this tourney. Below, you’ll find the best odds at the best sports betting sites.

It’s a tough act to follow after back-to-back star-studded signature events at the Masters and RBC Heritage, but the 2025 Zurich Classic at TPC Louisiana will try its best. It may not be the most exciting week to watch or bet, but there’s still plenty of value across the markets to be exploited in this unique team stroke play format. It’s also our first chance to see Rory McIlroy back in action since his historic win at the 2025 Masters, as he sets out to make his title defense alongside Shane Lowry.

HOW I BUILT MY Zurich Classic BETTING CARD

I am committing to the team chemistry narrative this week, as I believe familiarity amongst partners can be the x-factor to separate in this quirky format. The list of contenders over the first seven years of this event has proven that first-time partners and debutants do not have the best track record for this event, so I’ve found the most value in identifying the most well-rounded pairings who’ve displayed strong prior results.

From a unit allocation standpoint, it’s back to business as usual for my weekly stake at the 2025 Zurich Classic.

  • Outrights: 3.5U in to pay 25U each
  • FRL: 0.5U in to pay out 10U+ each
  • Props: 2.0U in to pay out 3U+ each

Zurich Classic BETS: OUTRIGHTS (3.5 UNITS)

Wyndham Clark & Taylor Moore

My bet: +2200

Looking at the top of the board this week, there is understandably a massive gap between the reigning champions from Ireland and the next tier of challengers. Of that next tier, though, I believe Team Clark & Moore has the best opportunity to challenge, given the two players’ current form, complementary skillsets, and prior history at this event.

Clark is a consummate birdie-maker, so it’s no surprise he’s succeeded in this format. He’s finished in the top 20 in his last three appearances, improving each time with a career-best third-place finish here last year. Playing soft and at sea level, Clark’s driving distance will give a distinct advantage at TPC Louisiana.

Moore, on the other hand, is an ideal partner for this format. He is a steady player across all four major strokes gained categories, and that stability has led to two top-five finishes over three career appearances at this event.

Billy Horschel & Tom Hoge

My bet: +2800

I can’t seem to avoid playing Billy Horschel at the Zurich Classic, as he continues to find himself in the mix year after year. After a successful stint with Sam Burns, Horschel will now turn to a new partnership with Tom Hoge, who is on one of the hottest streaks in golf. Hoge looks like his vintage ball-striking self, placing in the top 20 in his last four starts.

These two are no strangers to team event success, either. Horschel was a star for Atlanta Drive en route to its inaugural TGL championship, and Hoge was victorious alongside Sahith Theegala at the 2022 QBE Shootout.

Nico Echavarria & Max Greyserman

My bet: +3500

My featured group in my tournament preview this week, there’s plenty to like about this unlikely partnership at the 2025 Zurich Classic. I’m drawn to the stability of pairings who have felt the pressure of contending in this event together, so their top-five finish at the 2024 Zurich Classic should be a valuable learning experience to draw from.

Putting is invaluable in this format, especially in four-ball, where players must maximize converting birdie opportunities. Echavarria and Greyserman carry elite putting upside, which pairs with solid recent ball-striking form leading into this week.

Adam Hadwin & Nick Taylor

My bet: +4500

The Canadian duo has been a mainstay on my Zurich Classic betting card each of the last two years, and with top-10 finishes in each of those instances, I don’t see a reason to hop off now. Taylor won earlier this season at the Sony Open and thrives in this environment. Hadwin, while not amid his best season, has looked capable in 2025, posting a season-best T9 finish at the WM Phoenix Open. In this volatile format, I’m comfortable erring on the side of course history over recent form with this pairing.

Charley Hoffman & Nick Watney

My bet: +25000

Event history matters at the Zurich Classic, and there is no better example of two players consistently mastering the ham-and-egging of team stroke play than Nick Watney and Charley Hoffman. The two have partnered up in the first seven installments of team stroke play at the Zurich Classic, finishing in the top 20 five times.

ZURICH CLASSIC BETS: FIRST-ROUND LEADER (0.5 UNITS)

Sahith Theegala & Aaron Rai

My bet: +3500

Two prototypical Thursday birdie-makers, how could you not feel confident in Theegala and Rai’s prospects to pace the field in Round 1 this week? Rai paid off a two-way FRL chop alongside David Lipsky last year, so with a partner upgrade in 2025, I expect them to be in the mix early on Thursday.

Beau Hossler & Andrew Putnam

My bet: +5000

Chasing the spike putting upside with this pairing, Hossler and Putnam may be the best combined putting duo in the field this week. While on the longer side, TPC Louisiana does not require length off the tee to generate birdie opportunities, so Hossler and Putnam can post a number on Thursday if the flat sticks cooperate.

Hayden Springer & Nate Lashley

My bet: +5000

Two established birdie-makers. I think this is one of the most underrated pairings in the field this week. Springer has the distance to create eagle opportunities on the par 5s and driveable par 4 at TPC Louisiana. Lashley will also carry positive momentum with two top-30 finishes over his last three starts.

ZURICH CLASSIC BETS: PROPS (2.5 UNITS)

Top-20 Finish: Wyndham Clark & Taylor Moore

My bet: -110

My favorite pairing outside of McIlroy & Lowry, Clark & Moore, has so many avenues I can envision going down to find themselves in the top-20 by the end of the week. Each has multiple top-10 finishes at this event and will enter in solid form.

Top-20 Finish: Charley Hoffman & Nick Watney

My bet: +400

Simply referencing the course history stats, Hoffman and Watney have been an unstoppable force in this market since the Zurich Classic converted to a team-play event in 2017, finishing in the top-20 in five of their first seven appearances together. Hoffman’s game appears to be in a great place, too, as he just finished in the top 10 at the Corales Puntacana Championship last week.

Zurich Classic Bets: THE CARD

That’ll do it for this week’s PGA Tour golf bets. Best of luck this week with your Zurich Classic bets, and see you next week for the CJ Cup Byron Nelson!
