Wynn Online Sportsbook Review

Updated January 2021
  • Up to $500 risk free first bet
  • Well established and trusted gaming brand
  • Native app available for iOS and Android

Wynn Las Vegas is one of the more well-known casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, and it includes a retail sportsbook. The Nevada casino also has an app in conjunction with the sportsbook, but it’s more like an add-on as opposed to a stand-alone product for consumers.

Wynn has expanded its online portfolio by releasing an online sportsbook app in New Jersey and Colorado, with plans to expand to other states throughout the US.

Wynn has partnered with Scientific Games to help run and operate the online sportsbook.

Do I need a bonus or promo code for Wynn Sports?

You do not need a promo or bonus code in order to take advantage of Wynn online sportsbook’s offer of a risk-free bet up to $500. Simply follow our links, sign up, make an initial deposit, and place your first bet.

If you lose the bet, you will be reimbursed up to $500!

How the bonus works

Wynn’s risk-free bet is easy to understand and use. Let’s walk you through exactly how it works and make sure you don’t miss out on the offer.

Start by signing up with Wynn, then make your first deposit with the sportsbook for a minimum of $20. From there you just need to place a single sports bet, up to $500. If the bet wins, you collect your winnings and that’s it. However, if your bet loses, you’ll receive your losses back in cash up to $500.

A few things to be aware of when looking to use the risk-free bet from Wynn.

It is only your first deposit that allows you to qualify for the offer, so make sure it is for at least $20. Otherwise, you will not be eligible. Also, only your first bet is eligible. The odds also matter; only bets with odds between -150 and +10,000 will get refunded if they lose, so pay attention that your bet falls between those numbers.

Wynn VIP loyalty rewards

Almost all casinos have loyalty programs of some sort that reward players based on how much they gamble at their facilities. Wynn Casino is no different, as it has the Wynn Red Card Club that allows players to earn points that they can redeem for exclusive perks.

However, it’s not as common for sportsbooks to have VIP programs. Instead what you tend to see more of are promotions specific to individual sportsbooks. For example, FanDuel has single-game parlay offers where you get your money back if your bet loses up to $10, while DraftKings has offered 25% profit bonuses for entire weekend NFL slates.

Wynn Sportsbook is in a unique position though, with six properties (two in Las Vegas, one in Massachusetts and three in Macau), where it potentially could offer customers a combination of promotions and loyalty rewards they could use at the casino properties in conjunction with its Red Card Club.

When plans are finalized, we will share them with you here.

Redeem rewards at retail locations

Nothing has been announced, but if Wynn’s online sportsbook does offer rewards, it is likely that you will be able to redeem them at either Wynn Las Vegas, Encore Las Vegas or Encore Boston Harbor, which is located in Everett, Massachusetts.

It is. Not only has Wynn operated a sportsbook and casino in Nevada for years, but in order to be legalized in New Jersey, Colorado, and other states throughout the US, the sportsbook has to be approved by the various gambling boards of each state.

You can feel confident that when you’re betting at Wynn Sportsbook you’re doing so with one of the most trusted names in the gambling business.

Wynn sports betting app review

While Wynn has been running a retail sportsbook for years, along with an add-on app for the Nevada sportsbook, having an online sportsbook is a completely different animal.

Bettors need to know they’re getting an app that is easy to navigate and that is able to update in real time, which is especially critical when it comes to live betting. If you’re attempting to place bets but the app freezes or the odds change before accepting your wager, chances are you’re not going to be happy about it.

The Wynn Sportsbook app is available for Apple and Android devices and works on all manner of iPhones, iPads and all the top Android phones and tablets, as well. You can download the app by following our links to help ensure you’re getting the correct app.

Here’s what we’ve discovered so far.

  • Speed: No issues here. Moving around among different sports and placing bets doesn’t cause any lag problems. Obviously it will be critical that the app is able to continue functioning at this level as more and more users come on board and during busy periods, like NFL Sundays, for example.
  • Overall performance: Wynn Sportsbook is off to a solid start. Its app performs how you want and hope an online sportsbook would. You’re able to move around with ease, and with a search bar at the top, if there’s something specific you’re looking for, it’s easy to find.
  • Markets: Overall the betting markets that Wynn Sportsbook offers are good, although the futures markets are nonexistent at the moment. We’re assuming that will change, but it still is a little disappointing not to have them up and running at this time. Other than that, all the top sports you would expect to find are there, minus one, NASCAR. Currently Wynn does not have odds on any auto racing events.
  • Live betting: When it comes to actually placing bets during games, the Wynn Sportsbook app works fine, but unless you’re watching the game or following it online elsewhere, it’s not always easy to know exactly what is happening during a given event. For example, during a baseball game you can see the score, but it doesn’t list the inning, which team is at bat or the situation in the game at that time. All extremely important things to know for whatever bet you are about to make.
  • Bet slip: We do like how the bet slip works on the Wynn app. It pops up in the corner, out of the way, and can be moved so that it’s easy to place more bets. It also updates instantly with your new odds if creating a parlay. And we really like the feature that lets you choose your bet amount based on how much money you want to win.
  • General layout: The general layout is decent; it feels as if a little too much space is taken up by the promotions bar, which at this time doesn’t actually have anything promotion-related to display. But that aside, the layout is similar to what you’ll find at most sportsbook apps.
  • Cashier: Obviously the cashier function is about as important as it gets. If there’s problems putting money in or taking it out, that’s a dealbreaker. We’re pleased to say there’s no issues in this regard that we’ve come across.

Wynn browser review

At this time Wynn’s online sportsbook is just available via the app for Apple and Android devices.

As soon as there is website available we will let you know how it works.

Overall user experience

As is often the case when exploring new apps, it takes a couple of minutes to figure out where everything is and how the app itself functions.

It is very easy to get the hang of, though, and you likely will have it figured out quickly.

If there’s anything we could be nitpicky about, it would be that in order to access the main menu, you must click on the “Wynn Sports” logo in the upper left corner of the screen. It doesn’t appear to be clickable at first glance, though, so you might not realize there’s an entire menu to access by tapping it.

Aside from that, we expect your experience with the app itself to be a good one.

Wynn Sportsbook: Creating a new account

Creating a new account with Wynn Sportsbook is relatively easy and should not take longer than a couple of minutes.

You will need to supply all the normal information as you do at any other legal sportsbook. That includes your name, address, phone number and last four digits of your Social Security number. You also will need to create a username and password as well as two security questions to help make your account that much more secure.

If Wynn is unable to verify your identity, you also may be required to upload a form of ID and proof of address.

And that’s all it takes. Again, you should be finished in the time it takes a Major League Baseball game to come back from a commercial break between innings.

How does Wynn benefit casual bettors?

One of the best parts about online sportsbooks is that for the casual or new sports bettor they are so much easier to use and get the hang of. Gone are the days of having to place your bets in person and not knowing exactly what to say, or going to betting kiosks and having to figure out what buttons to push while someone impatiently waits behind you.

The Wynn Sportsbook app is great for casual bettors because it’s easy to use and you can always see exactly what you are betting on, how much money you are putting at risk and how much you stand to win.

The one thing that isn’t yet included on the Wynn app is a betting guide or something similar that would help inexperienced or new bettors understand all the different types of bets that are out there.

How does Wynn benefit experienced bettors?

The Wynn online sportsbook gives experienced bettors exactly what they’re looking for: all the top sports to bet on with all the lines and odds easily available, along with a cashier that makes withdrawing and depositing money a breeze.

Creating parlays is effortless, and being able to see how additions and subtractions change your odds is great.

And as we mentioned before, we love being able to place bets based on how much money we’ll win instead of only being able to control the wager field.

Wynn sports betting options

Wynn Sportsbook has you covered when it comes to your betting options. You will find all the betting types that you would expect to find, minus one, which we expect will change in the near future.

There obviously is the big three of betting for all games: moneyline, against the spread and over/unders. Wynn also has prop bets for most games and alternate lines available, too. You’re able to place parlays and round robins. Pretty much anything you can think of you can do.

The one thing Wynn online sportsbook doesn’t have at the present time though is futures markets. We expect that will change in the near future, but it still is disappointing to not be able to make any futures bets right now.

We will let you know as soon as Wynn has futures markets available for betting.

What’s not available at Wynn

Auto racing and fringe sports. The fact is if you want to gamble on NASCAR or niche sports like table tennis, cricket, rugby or darts, you will not be able to do that at Wynn Sportsbook.

Wynn has all the major sports that you would find at any reputable odds maker (basketball, football, baseball, hockey, tennis, MMA and soccer), but the lack of any motor sports is a little strange. However, if NASCAR and the IndyCar Series are not your cup of tea, then you won’t be missing anything going with Wynn.

It also is important to note that depending on where you are betting from, you will not be able to wager on certain college teams. For example, in states like New Jersey, Colorado, and Virginia, betting on college teams from those states is not allowed. And in Jersey it even is illegal to bet on any college events taking place in the state, whether local teams are playing or not.

Wynn odds boost

Wynn does not currently offer odds boosts; whether that changes going forward is anyone’s guess. It’s also our opinion that if a sportsbook offers good, competitive odds, it doesn’t need odds boosts in order to gain or keep customers.

Some sportsbooks will offer odds boosts that tweak the numbers so slightly that it’s barely noticeable, while others will do so only for the long shots that are extremely unlikely to pay off no matter what the odds.

Wynn pricing

As we’ve discussed, Wynn has yet to announce any sign-up bonuses or promotions it will be running, but the reality is if its odds and lines are equal to or better than those of other sportsbooks, that’s arguably the most important thing. So we took a look at how Wynn Sportsbook’s pricing compared to other top books. Here’s what we found.

We looked at Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season and compared Wynn to DraftKings, BetMGM and FanDuel sportsbooks.

While the spreads for the 16 games were nearly identical across the board at the four sportsbooks, the moneylines were not as close. While none of them were dramatically different, the fact is that Wynn had the best odds only three times, while the other three books had the best or tied for the best odds at least five times each.

That’s not to say you’re not getting good odds at Wynn. Overall, Wynn Sportsbook was competitive against DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM and even beat all three out at times.

But, as it stands right now, we don’t think you’re getting the absolute best odds out there. If you’re just a casual or even medium bettor, the difference might not even be noticeable, but if you’re betting large sums of money, that small difference in the line will make a big difference in the end.

How to deposit and cash out winnings

There aren’t a lot of choices when it comes to depositing money at Wynn, but here are the available options:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • PayPal, Play+ Card

You can also deposit your funds in person at Caesars Atlantic City Casino.

If you choose to go the in-person route, you will need to provide your full name, date of birth, email address, last four digits of your Social Security number and the answers you provided to your security questions when you created your Wynn account.

It stands to reason that in the future there will be more ways to deposit money into your account, especially when Wynn expands to other states. We will be sure to update when it does.

The withdrawal methods are the same as the deposit ones, just with Wynn giving you money instead of the other way around.

You can request your winnings in the form of an e-check, or you can get cash from Caesars Atlantic City Casino.

Just like before, you will need to provide all the same information in order to take money out of your Wynn online sportsbook account if you’re doing so in person.

How to contact customer support

Once logged into your Wynn Sportsbook app, you can contact customer service by clicking the Wynn Sports logo in the upper left corner of the screen and then clicking “Support & FAQ.”

From there you’ll be able to send an email or initiate a live chat. You also have the option of calling customer service at 201-383-2837.

Before taking any of those steps, you can check the list of FAQs to see if your issue is addressed there.

History of Wynn

Wynn Las Vegas opened in 2005 and has grown to become one of the bigger, more well-known casinos in Vegas.

Despite the fact that Wynn is now a late entry into the online sports betting game, that doesn’t mean it can’t compete. If it’s able to learn from the successes and failures of other online sportsbooks, there’s no reason it can’t become one of the top books in the US.

Only time will tell whether Wynn is able to compete with some of the established names in the online sports betting industry going forward.
