Dream Force Historic Game 7 Against Valkyries in WNBA Finals

The WNBA Finals are going to Game 7, which makes it a historic series because it's the first time in WNBA Finals history that this has happened.
It's been a phenomenal season for both the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries, but nothing else matters besides this one game. It's certainly impressive to have a strong regular season and then get to this point in the WNBA Finals, but if you don't win it, it feels like it's all for nothing.
And for these two teams, this is a significant contest, with all headlines shifting to this one final game.
Allisha Gray Helps Dream Keep Championship Hopes Alive
Entering Game 6, the Dream were facing elimination. If they were to lose in front of their home crowd, it would be the end of the season and a 4-2 series defeat for Atlanta. But the Dream leaned into their top-end talent, with Allisha Gray leading the way with 23 points and Rhyne Howard adding 21.
Atlanta ultimately secured an 80-69 victory to tie the series at 3-3 and set up one final game to determine the championship. Nothing is ever easy, and these are the hurdles that every championship team has to go through to get to the finish line.
And the Dream have already proven they can beat Golden State on the biggest stage and now have a chance to do so on the road against the Valkyries.
Historic Game 7 Will Decide WNBA Championship
Again, the Dream came out strong in Game 6, and that's what ultimately built a 20-point lead at halftime before taking care of business and getting the win. And now the series shifts back to Golden State for Game 7, marking the first winner-take-all Game 7 in WNBA Finals history.
It's a phenomenal situation for both franchises. Both should be proud of what their rosters have accomplished this season, but at the end of the day, only one champion can be crowned.
And while these teams have taken very different paths to get here, especially given that Golden State is only in its second season as a franchise, this is truly a historic moment.
Not only because the series is going seven games, but also because a champion will be crowned who hasn't necessarily been in the conversation every year in recent history.
