Top Contenders

Novak Djokovic (-125): Atop the field is Novak Djokovic. The six-time Wimbledon winner only just recently lost his ATP top ranking after suffering a defeat to Rafa Nadal in the quarterfinals at the French Open. Many consider Djokovic to be the best grass court player in the world.

Matteo Berrettini (+550): After falling to Djokovic in last year’s Wimbledon final, Berrettini is surely seeking revenge in his quest for his first grand slam title. Despite dealing with a lingering hand injury that required surgery, it wasn’t long before the Italian reverted back to his previous form. Berrettini, who also favors grass courts over any other surface, has been dominant on the grass circuits since his return from injury.

Rafa Nadal (+800): Nadal is coming off a historic 14th French Open title and will be looking to add a third Wimbledon title to his magnificent resume. Nadal could win consecutive grand slam titles at Roland Garros and Wimbledon for the first time since 2010.

Top Storylines Behind Men’s Wimbledon Odds

Russian Players Banned at Wimbledon

Danill Medvedev, the top-ranked player in the world, will not play in the Wimbledon Championships this year after a decision was made by the All England’s Club to ban all Russian and Belarusian players from competing in the 2022 edition.

This ruling has been met with much debate within the tennis world, as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues.

More Big-Name Players Out

The absence of eight-time Wimbledon winner Roger Federer will also be a top storyline. For the first time since 1998, Wimbledon will be played without the tournament’s biggest star.

Plus, for the first time since the ATP rankings were introduced in 1973, Wimbledon will be played without the top-two players in the world. No. 2 ranked German Alexander Zverev (ankle) has been ruled out.

2022 Men’s Wimbledon Bracket

Odds listed below are to advance to the semifinals and win the quadrant. Click to bet now.

Quadrant One

The first quarter of the men’s draw is highlighted by Novak Djokovic. Djokovic currently sits at -350 to win the first quarter and advance to the semifinals. Although it’s tough to imagine any other player coming out of this quadrant, there is one other player with the potential to contend and give Djokovic fits.

The 19-year old Spanish prodigy Carlos Alcaracz (+450) is sure to steal the spotlight once again, as he looks to rebound from his quarterfinal departure in Paris. Alcaracz may have the best forehand in all of tennis, which should translate pretty well to Wimbledon’s grass courts. Given his tremendous ability to consistently mix up strokes from forehand to drop-shot, he should be Novak’s biggest threat.

Quadrant Two

Atop the odds board in quarter two is 25-year-old Pole Hubert Hurkacz (+200). Hurkacz has been on an absolute tear for the entirety of the 2022 season, posting a 28-10 record and rising into the ATP top 10 for the first time in his short career. His biggest success came last year at Wimbledon when he reached the semifinals for the first time in a grand slam. Hurkacz went on to defeat in straight sets the best grass court player of all time, Roger Federer, prior to falling to Berrettini in the semifinals. At +200, he is justifiably the favorite to come out of the second quarter.

Cam Norrie (+850) is one of the best young players in the world, and certainly has potential to contend in the second quarter. The 26 year-old Brit has also been on fire on the ATP Tour this season, where he now sits as the 12th-ranked player in the world. Like Hurkacz, Norrie is also extremely versatile and in excellent form.

24-year old American Francis Tiafoe (+2000) is definitely a sleeper to come out of this quarter. I have placed a wager at this price. Tiafoe is very athletic with a huge forehand, and the majority of his success on Tour has come on the grass circuit. Tiafoe is well known for his aggression on the court, often relying on his 1-2 punch of a huge serve, followed by his power-forehand to outmuscle his opponents. Tiafoe’s style of play is most effective on grass-courts when the ball is moving at a very high speed. Wimbledon is the grand slam best suited to his game, so at +2000 there is certainly value for Francis to reach his first grand slam semifinal.

Quadrant Three

Matteo Berrettini (+130) is the favorite to come out of the third quarter. His aforementioned success on grass-courts, in addition to his extremely imposing forehand make him an extremely difficult out for anyone.

In doing so, he’ll have to get through the sixth-ranked player in the world, Stefanos Tsitsipas (+500). Despite his early exit from the French Open, Tsitsipas is still one of the best players in the world. Stefanos is known for his accurate forehand and aggressive baseliner presence, which often results in big rallies, especially on grass-courts.

Quadrant Four

The fourth quarter is highlighted by French Open winner Rafa Nadal, who currently sits at +150 to win the quarter. Despite the Spaniard’s recent success in Paris, I’m looking at the lengthy French-Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime (+350) to advance to his first career grand slam semifinal.

A potential quarterfinal matchup between the two would be the second of the grand slam calendar, as the two met in an incredible five-setter at Roland Garros a few weeks ago. Despite Nadal getting the better of Aliassime in their Paris matchup on clay, Felix should find way more success against Nadal on grass courts where he can better take advantage of not only his huge serve, but also his mobility and athleticism.

Best of luck navigating men’s Wimbledon odds.
