Conversely, the Gaels built a 28-point second-half lead versus Pepperdine on Monday, only to allow the Waves to backdoor the 19.5-point spread.

Not only will Gonzaga need a more efficient shooting night to earn its first conference tournament championship since 2022, but it must also govern the rebounding battle. Mitchell Saxen and Co. collected 15 offensive rebounds per contest in their two regular-season meetings, mitigating its scoring woes when Few shifted to a zone defense.

The Gaels have manufactured a top-10 rebounding rate at both ends, allowing them to dictate the pace via the sixth-slowest adjusted tempo. Moreover, Randy Bennett's patented ball-screen sets should continue to exploit the Zags' vulnerable interior, which grades in the 37th percentile of opponents' at-the-rim efficiency (via CBB Analytics).
