For only the second time in NBA postseason history, a No. 7 seed is favored over a No. 2 seed among series betting odds.

The other occasion came in 2021, as the Phoenix Suns (+220) eliminated the Los Angeles Lakers in six games. However, the Lakers held a 2-1 series lead before Anthony Davis missed the rest of the playoffs with a groin injury.
