Canada Olympic Men’s Basketball Roster

Canada is nothing to scoff at despite being underdogs in this first exhibition. Canada boasts the second-shortest odds at the best sports betting sites to win the gold medal. The roster features mostly NBA players, including All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder. SGA averaged 30.1 points on 53.5% shooting from the field during the regular season and was second in MVP voting.

The Canada basketball team also includes notable NBA defender Dillon Brooks. During the 2023 FIBA World Cup, Brooks led the effort to beat the USA and claim the Bronze Medal for Canada. He scored 39 points in the effort.

Canada is notably missing Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets and Andrew Wiggins of the Warriors. Murray opted to recover after a long season, and Wiggins is out for medical reasons.
