US Open Tennis Odds: Women’s Singles
Swiatek A Cut Above?
As competitive and well-balanced as the women’s singles scene has been in recent years, Swiatek has emerged as the top dog for the moment. She has won three of the past six majors and was favored over the field in the French Open.
However, much of her dominance has come on clay, where she won three times. The market sees a much more evenly matched field on hard court, though Swiatek did win the U.S. Open once prior, in 2022.
Overall, she has a strong record on hard court with a 71-12 record the past two years. Most recently, though, she did drop semifinal matches to the likes of Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula. Both matches went three sets.

Other Top Competitors
Unlike the men’s draw, which features an overwhelming top two, there is no shortage of women with very realistic hopes of lifting the trophy.
Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina round out those with single-digit odds. Sabalenka enters with the better hard court record (25-5 this year) and is expected to have the second seed.
Additionally, Rybakina looks like she’s on fumes after wearing down in her past two events. In her last outing, she retired from a third-round match in Cincinnati. Prior to that, she wilted in a semifinal match, wiped out in the second and third sets following a marathon quarterfinal.
Both Sabalenka and Rybakina sports 4-2 records in the summer hard court season. Sabalenka also boasts a prior Grand Slam win on hard court, at this year’s Australian Open.
Gauff and Pegula follow in the markets. They won the past two hard court events. Gauff especially looks to be in dominating form, having won two of the past three. Pegula defeated her in the quarters in the other.
