There may only be NBA odds for two games on Thursday night, but plenty of player prop odds and potential Underdog picks are available across the best betting sites. We’ll compare prop bets across apps below to help you find the best options too. Let’s take a look at my three favorite player prop bets, options you can bet straight up at sportsbooks or combine into an Underdog Fantasy Pick’em for a potential 6x payout.

With the Bucks on a back-to-back against the Spurs, I’m focused on the Nuggets vs. Warriors game in a rematch of Christmas Day. New users at Underdog can also lock in a $100 deposit match with promo code THELINES. Click PLAY NOW to get in on the action.

NBA Player Prop Bet: jamal murray over PTS+Reb (1 unit)

Possible Underdog Picks: Over/Under 26.5 Points And Rebounds

Murray has owned the Warriors over his last three games, soaring past Thursday’s prop line in all three. He’s averaging 29 points alone vs. Golden State since returning from his year-long knee injury. Tack on the extra 4.6 rebounds per game, and 26.5 is just too low not to take an over.

On the season, the Warriors are allowing opposing point guards to score the 4th most points per game. They’re especially bad at stopping athletic guards like Murray who can score off the dribble and finish around the rim. Eight of the last 10 PGs to face Golden State have gone over their prop line. One of the two to go under was the Nuggets’ backup PG, Reggie Jackson, who gave way to Murray in the Christmas Day game between these two teams.

Murray should also see the typical spike in his usage rate when Denver takes to the road. He’s averaging more minutes, points, and rebounds per game on the road, in addition to a higher usage rate.

Editor’s Note

NBA Player Prop Bet: kentavious caldwell-pope over PTS+ reb (1u)

Possible Underdog Picks: Over/Under 9.5 Points

KCP has historically enjoyed a healthy dose of floor time when these teams face each other. Over his last five matchups with Golden State, he’s averaging 32 minutes, 13 points, and nearly four rebounds per game. That includes one outing last season where he only played 21 minutes, while Bruce Brown played 32 and defended Steph Curry for most of that game. With Brown now in Indiana, KCP is Denver’s only chance at slowing down Curry. Hence the 39 minutes he played in the last matchup.

Since Draymond Green’s indefinite suspension, the Warriors have allowed the third-most points per game to opposing shooting guards. That’s heavily due to the amount of three-pointers they’ve allowed to the position, sixth-most.

Caldwell-Pope should receive plenty of open looks with Murray and Jokic kicking out once the defense collapses on them. He’s also likely to see a few transition three-pointers. The Warriors are in the league’s bottom half at limiting transition points.

NBA Player Prop bet: chris paul under pTS+reb+asT (1u)

Possible Underdog Picks: 21.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

This line is too high for a player with Paul’s recent output. While some may have thought Draymond Green’s absence from the team would elevate Paul’s stats, the opposite has been true.

Over the last 11 games, CP3 has crossed this line twice. In those instances, he played 36 and 33 minutes against the Celtics and Mavericks, respectively. His presence was sorely needed against the Celtics’ high-pressure perimeter defense and Dallas may as well be nicknamed ‘Allas because they don’t play any D.

Against Denver, Golden State will need to rely on size and athleticism much more. We can expect more versatile players such as Jonathan Kuminga and even rookie Brandon Podziemski to dip into Paul’s minutes. Without the usage or minutes, the under is a solid play for the “Point Gawd” tonight.
