Underdog NFL DFS Picks: Bills at Ravens Sunday Night Football
The Ravens were able to feast on the ground last week against Dallas’s worst in the league Rush defense. The Bills pose a similar opportunity, as they are 25th in Rush defense EPA allowed. Kyler Murray was able to get 57 yards on 5 rushes against the Bills in Week 1, which should show the blueprint for the Ravens.
On the other side of the ball, the Ravens were able to get home on Dak Prescott 3 times despite being 29th in pressure rate. The signing of Yannick Ngakoue should help add to the team’s success in the trenches. Getting the ball out fast will help Josh Allen, as will his ability to scramble and extend plays.
Josh Allen Higher Than 35.5 Rushing Yards
He hasn’t gotten into the end zone the last two weeks, but Allen has rushed for more than this number twice this season already. In a likely competitive game, the Bills should be forced to have Allen run a decent amount, especially with the Ravens talent in the secondary.
If the Ngakoue signing ends up bolstering the pass rush, that’s an additional boon to Allen’s scrambling chances. But even if it doesn’t end up mattering, the Ravens secondary was able to lock down receivers for 3 quarters last week. If they do the same, Allen will likely tuck it and run, and not throw aimlessly like Dak did.
Derrick Henry Higher Than 68.5 Rushing Yards
This is a pure bet on the Bills Rush defense being bad. That 25th in the league is enough for me to put aside any concerns about the Bills getting ahead and forcing Lamar to pass more. Henry got a big workload and converted it last week, hitting over 150 yards on 25 carries. He’s exceeded this number in two straight games. This feels simple.
Dalton Kincaid Higher Than 38.5 Receiving Yards
Kincaid is finally getting the type of usage to justify his 2023 1st round pick status. Kincaid got 5 targets and 41 yards against the Jaguars, including a nice toe tap in the end zone, but the key difference is Kincaid is getting deeper targets now. He has previously been thrown short and intermediate routes, but he’s now being used to stretch the field a bit more.
His 31 yard catch last week and the fact that the Bills were up so much means he should be in line for more usage. If this game is closer than last week it’s very possible there’ll be even more usage for Kincaid. If there is, he’s going to cruise over this number.
