Argentina vs Austria: Holders to Cruise to Three Points
Argentina are looking to book their place in the knockout phase with a win against Austria at AT&T Stadium. Both teams kicked off their World Cups with Group J victories. Who are we picking in our World Cup tips in this tasty tussle in Texas?
The 2022 World Cup winners eased past Algeria in their opening match, with the great Lionel Messi scoring his first-ever World Cup hat-trick. The Argentinians were very easy on the eye in and looked determined to hold on to their crown.
The Austrians also scored three goals and sealed all three points. They needed two late goals to get past Jordan in Santa Clara. An own goal 14 minutes from time swung the game back Austria’s way, and Marko Arnautovic completed the scoring from the spot 12 minutes into stoppage time.
All eyes will be on Messi and Argentina, and Lionel Scaloni’s men will be eager to seal a knockout place with one game still to play in Group J.
Austria will be no pushovers in Arlington, but the world champions should get the job done. In our World Cup accumulator tips for today, we are backing Argentina to win and both teams to score at World Cup odds of 49/20 with 10 Bet.
Our Prediction: Argentina Win & BTTS – 49/20
France vs Iraq: Bleus to Book Spot in Knockouts
France started their World Cup campaign with a hard-fought victory over Senegal at MetLife Stadium. Going by the latest World Cup Group I odds, the French are the overwhelming favourites to go through as group winners.
Didier Deschamps’ men go up against Iraq on Monday at Lincoln Financial Field. A point will be enough, but the 2022 World Cup runners-up are looking to put on a show in Philadelphia.
Iraq were heavily beaten by Norway in their opening World Cup fixture in North America. Unfortunately for Graham Arnold and his men, this is likely to be an even tougher test.
Without being at their stunning best, France claimed a 3-1 win against the Senegalese on matchday one, with the outstanding Kylian Mbappe scoring a second-half brace. Deschamps’ boys should win by an even bigger margin here.
There is good value in 10Bet’s 8/5 for the French to win -3 at Lincoln Financial Field.
Our Prediction: France to Win -3 – 8/5
Norway vs Senegal: Norwegians to Squeeze Through
Stale Solbakken’s Norway and Pape Thiaw’s Senegal go head-to-head in Group I action at the spectacular MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. This is tough to call, though the European nation is the slight favourite.
Norway were excellent in their opening game in North America, easing past Iraq in Foxborough. In his first-ever World Cup game, Erling Haaland helped himself to a brace in the 4-1 rout.
Senegal put up a brave fight but were ultimately well beaten by France in their opening World Cup game. There were plenty of positive signs, including Ibrahim Mbaye’s late goal. Can the African nation build on the positives and keep its World Cup hopes alive?
A Norway win will see them progress to the Round of 32, while Senegal will be eliminated before their final game against Iraq. With so much at stake, this is not an easy game to call.
We fancy Senegal to play their part, but our money is going on a narrow Norway win. Check out 3/1 for the Norwegian victory and both teams to score.
Our Prediction: Norway Win & BTTS – 3/1
