World Cup Accumulator Tips Today: Goals and Handicaps in Our 11/1 Shot

The group stages continue over in North America, and today, I’m going for World Cup accumulator tips across all four matches.

And there’s plenty to talk about. A busy day sees us get our first glimpse of Kylian Mbappe as France make their 2026 bow, before Erling Haaland takes to the stage as Norway face Iraq at 11pm.

And overnight, defending world champions Argentina begin their group campaign against a dangerous Algerian side, before Austria and Jordan complete proceedings at 5am UK time in San Francisco.

Senegal to Cause France Problems

France understandably come into their match with Senegal as favourites, but they’ll have to break a long unbeaten spell if they want to start their World Cup campaign the right way.

The Senegalese haven’t lost a competitive game in 90 minutes since being knocked out at the last-16 stage of the 2022 World Cup against England. We are, of course, discounting *THAT* AFCON Final against Morocco last January, plus minor domestic international matches.

They also face a French side that haven’t been all that tight at the back recently, with just one clean sheet in a run of seven that features matches against the likes of Azerbaijan, Iceland and Northern Ireland.

So my first World Cup Accumulator Tip today is for both teams to score, which looks great value at even-money.

Here Comes Haaland 

Excitement is really building around this Norway side and their first World Cup match in 28 years sees them face Iraq over in Boston.

It’s Iraq’s first time at a World Cup since Mexico ‘86, when they lost all three of their group matches.

And their squad this time around is one of the weakest at the tournament, with none of the contingent playing in a top-five league last season. It’s no surprise to see them way down in the Group I betting. 

This Norway side should have way too much for them, but 2/11 for the outright win is no value. Instead, I like the look of the Scandinavians to be leading at half-time and full-time, which, given the gulf in class, has enough in it at 8/13 for make my Tuesday night acca.

Messi’s Final Dance Begins

The defending champions certainly have a favourable group, but Algeria represents a tricky test first up.

There’s a nice blend of experience and up-and-comers in this Algerian squad. They should have enough to make a game of this.

Man for man, Argentina are undeniably clear, but they took time to get going at the 2022 finals, losing their opener to Saudi Arabia, and I don’t see them having it all their own way here. That said, there won’t be many backers at 18/1 for them to be knocked out at the group stage. 

Yes, Argentina have won all of their last seven friendlies, but they were all against modest opposition, and their opponents tonight haven’t lost a competitive game for two years.

This one will be tight and I’m backing Algeria to win this one with a theoretical 1.5 goal headstart. The single is available at 4/6 with PricedUp.

Austria a Potential Dark Horse

Led by Ralf Rangnick, Austria were impressive in World Cup qualifying, losing only once in eight matches and scoring 22 goals in a group featuring fellow qualifiers, Bosnia.

Jordan, meanwhile, are comfortably the weakest side in this group and only five of their squad play their club football outside the Gulf states.

And they weren’t massively convincing in qualifying, winning only four of ten matches in a group containing the likes of Oman, Kuwait and Palestine.

Austria represents a significant step up here and I can’t see them making the grade. A win at 4/11 doesn’t excite me, so let’s squeeze out some value and go for the Austria win to nil at a much more appealing 5/4.
