The final Round-of-16 matchup of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will see Switzerland and Colombia go head-to-head in Vancouver today.

This is a tricky knockout game to call, though the Colombians are the slight favourites at BC Place. In this in-depth betting preview, we have the best Switzerland vs Colombia odds, picks, and predictions.

Switzerland vs Colombia Picks & Preview

Switzerland have grown into the tournament after kicking off their World Cup with a disappointing draw with Qatar. They went on to win Group B, collecting seven points from a possible nine.

The Swiss secured their place in the Round of 32 with an impressive 4-1 win against Bosnia & Herzegovina. Johan Manzambi netted a brace, while Ruben Vargas and Granit Xhaka were also on the scoresheet at SoFi Stadium.

Murat Yakin’s men made sure of first place with a 2-1 victory over Canada on matchday three, setting up a last-32 clash with Algeria. Switzerland proved to be too strong for the Africans on Canadian soil, with Breel Embolo and Dan Ndoye on target in a comfortable 2-0 triumph.

Colombia went up against Portugal, DR Congo, and Uzbekistan in Group K. They pipped the Portuguese to first place, taking seven points from three group games.

Colombia’s campaign got up and running with an easy 3-1 victory over the Uzbekistanis in Mexico City. Daniel Munoz, Luis Diaz, and Jaminton Campaz got the goals in game one.

Their place in the knockouts was confirmed before they played Portugal, as Munoz’s 76th-minute goal was enough for a 1-0 win against Congo in Zapopan. The goalless draw with the Portuguese in Miami gave Colombia the top spot in Group K.

The Coffee Growers’ reward for winning their group was a Round-of-32 tie with Ghana in Kansas City. It was a tight game at Arrowhead Stadium, with Jhon Arias’ early strike doing the damage.

Switzerland have been knocked out in the last 16 at each of the last three World Cups. They reached the quarter-finals in 1934, 1938, and 1954 but have never gone further.

Colombia were quarter-finalists in Brazil in 2014 and reached the last 16 in Russia four years later. However, they failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Like the Swiss, the Colombians have never got past the last-eight stage.

Switzerland head into this knockout game in fine fettle, unbeaten in seven and suffering just one defeat since November 2024. As for Colombia, they have won five and drawn one of their past six and have lost just twice since March 2025.

This is arguably the hardest last-16 game to call. Colombia may have the slight edge in the betting market, but we can see Switzerland edging it in Vancouver. For those who love a correct score, check out PricedUp’s World Cup odds of 10/1 for the 2-1 Switzerland win.

Our Prediction: Switzerland to Win 2-1 – 10/1

Switzerland vs Colombia Odds & Picks

Switzerland like to start games fast, and Yakin’s troops will be desperate to strike first in this World Cup knockout clash. The Red Crosses have played six times since a 0-0 friendly draw with Norway back in March, scoring the opening goal in each. Back the Swiss to score first here 7/5.

Breel Embolo has a good record for his national team, and the Rennes forward has chipped in with two goals at this World Cup. He is always dangerous, and Colombia must be wary of his threat in Vancouver.

Johan Manzambi may be Switzerland’s top scorer in the tournament with three goals, but we are backing Embolo to net first in this one, available at World Cup odds of 6/1 with PricedUp.

Our Predictions: Switzerland to Score First – 7/5 / Breel Embolo to Score First – 6/1
