World Cup Goal Scorer Tips Today: Summerville 5/2 to Hit a Scoring Streak

We’re on the goal trail today with four anytime FIFA World Cup goalscorer tips ahead of another packed evening and overnight schedule across the pond.

The focus is on Groups E and F, with the Netherlands facing Sweden and Germany vs Ivory Coast kicking the evening off, and if you’re pulling an all-nighter, Ecuador vs Curacao and Tunisia vs Japan await you in the small hours.

Some games just scream “goals” and this meeting between Swedish and Dutch is one of them.

Musiala Back in the Mix

This has the look of a decent match, with both sides getting up and running with victories last time out.

Ivory Coast had to ride their luck at times against Ecuador, so it’s no surprise that I’m looking at Die Mannschaft for my pick here, following their 7-1 demolition of Curacao.

Jamal Musiala has had an injury-disrupted season but looks fresh, and has found the net in two of his last three Germany outings - including a goal against Curacao.

And at 2/1 to find the net anytime, he’s my next FIFA World Cup goalscorer pick.

Valencia to Lead Ecuador Fightback

They had their brief moment of glory, but it was ultimately a humbling World Cup bow for Curacao against the Germans.

Ecuador aren’t quite the same attacking proposition, but their strength is defence and they should be confident of securing a clean sheet in Kansas City.

And when it comes to goals for Ecuador, there really is only one man.

Enner Valencia is the country’s highest-ever goalscorer and a goal this weekend would see him reach a half-century for his national side.

Curacao are likely to sit deep once again and soak up pressure, meaning Valencia should be in line for plenty of opportunities. There isn’t a great deal of value in the FIFA World Cup anytime goalscorer markets for this one, but 6/10 for a Valencia strike is still the smart play.

More Woe For Tunisia

Japan-Tunisia completes the Saturday night action in Guadalupe, Mexico, with both sides needing a result to give themselves a fighting chance of getting through to the knockouts.

It’s been a tumultuous week for the Tunisians, who sacked manager Sabri Lamouchi following a disastrous 5-1 defeat to Sweden, with Herve Renard taking charge for at least the next two games.

Japan, meanwhile, impressed against the Netherlands, twice coming from behind to secure a draw that keeps their destiny very much in their own hands, with two much easier games on the horizon.

I’m expecting them to win here against a side that were at sixes and sevens at the back against Sweden, and my pick for an anytime goal is Ayase Ueda.

The Feyenoord forward had a stellar season in the Eredivisie, scoring 25 goals in 31 games, and faces a backline at their lowest ebb.
