Scotland vs Haiti Odds, Tips & Predictions: Scotland Begin World Cup Campaign
Scotland’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign is ready to get underway, as Steve Clarke’s men take on Haiti at Gillette Stadium in Group C.
With Brazil and Morocco in the group, the Scots could really do with maximum points from their opener. There are no easy games in the World Cup, but Scotland are the clear favourites in this one.
Haiti vs Scotland Picks & Preview
Scotland are back on the grandest stage of world football for the first time since the 1998 World Cup in France. Coincidentally, they faced Brazil and Morocco in the group stage 28 years ago, losing both games.
Scotland failed to qualify for the next six World Cups, but Clarke has guided them to North America, and the Scots are looking to reach the knockout phase for the first time in their history.
According to the latest World Cup Group C odds, Scotland are the third favourites in the group. Brazil and Morocco are set to scrap for the top two, while the Haitians are the group minnows. Finishing third could be enough for a Round of 32 spot.
Haiti’s only previous World Cup appearance came in 1974. They lost all three games in West Germany, conceding 14 goals along the way. They are back in the World Cup after winning six of ten qualifying matches.
Haiti may be the weakest footballing nation in Group C, but the Grenadiers will enjoy every minute of their time in North America. Like Scotland, Haiti will be aiming for at least third place in Group C.
The CONCACAF nation warmed up for their World Cup opener with a disappointing 2-1 loss to Peru. As for Scotland, they hammered Bolivia 4-0 at Sports Illustrated Stadium, with Che Adams (2), Lawrence Shankland, and Scott McTominay netting.
Saturday’s showdown in Foxborough will be the first-ever meeting between the two nations. Haiti are unpredictable, but Scotland should get the job done on matchday one in Group C.
We fancy the Tartan Army to roar their nation to victory at Gillette Stadium. Check out PricedUp’s tasty World Cup odds of 10/11 for Scotland to win -1.
Our Prediction: Scotland to Win -1 – 10/11
Haiti vs Scotland Predictions
McTominay has transformed himself into one of the best players in Serie A after making the switch from Manchester United to Napoli in 2024. He has been a revelation in Naples, helping his side win Serie A and the Supercoppa Italiana.
He has also won several individual awards, including the Serie A MVP in 2024-25, and has been named in the Serie A Team of the Season in both years in Italy. He is now one of the best box-to-box midfielders in Europe.
In addition to shining for Napoli, McTominay has also been a crucial player for the Scottish national team over the past few years. He won his 70th cap in the win against Bolivia, marking the occasion with a goal.
Scotland beat Denmark at Hampden Park in their final qualifier to book their place in North America. McTominay sent them on their way with a stunning bicycle kick and was instrumental throughout.
Scotland have some top players in their 26-man World Cup squad, but McTominay tops the bill. The Scots will be looking to their main man to get them off the mark, and we are backing the Napoli ace to make a positive impact in game one.
Despite being a midfielder, McTominay is the joint favourite to score for Scotland against Haiti. Why not take a punt on the former Manchester United man to open the scoring at 4/1?
Our Prediction: Scott McTominay to Score First – 4/1
