England vs Ghana Odds, Tips & Predictions: Three Lions to Book Place in Last 32
England continue their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with a Group L meeting with Ghana at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
A win for Thomas Tuchel’s men will see them safely through to the knockout phase, though a Ghanaian victory would take the Africans through and blow the group wide open. The English are the strong favourites in Massachusetts, but Ghana will not go down without a fight.
England vs Ghana Picks & Preview
Before a ball was kicked, when looking at the pre-tournament World Cup England odds, the Three Lions were right up there with the bookies’ favourites to win the competition. After a win in game one, many people still fancy England to go all the way in North America.
They went up against old foe Croatia in their opening World Cup Group L fixture. It was a pulsating match in Arlington, with countless talking points and six goals scored. England led twice but went into the half-time interval level.
Tuchel’s troops came out all guns blazing in the second period, and second-half goals from Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford gave England a 4-2 win. They now need just a point from their remaining two Group L matches to go through.
After Tuesday’s fixture against the Ghanaians, the European powerhouse finishes the group with a game against Panama in East Rutherford. England won 6-1 in a 2018 World Cup group game in the only previous meeting between the two nations.
Ghana kicked off their World Cup campaign with a narrow victory over Panama in Toronto. The game looked to be heading for a goalless draw, but Caleb Yirenkyi netted a 95th-minute winner to give Carlos Queiroz’s men all three points at BMO Field.
Ghana will fancy their chances of picking up a positive result against one of the tournament favourites. They may be the underdogs, but Queiroz has a talented team that will fight to the end.
Although we can see the Ghanaians finding the net in Foxborough, England’s qualities should shine through. Check out PricedUp’s World Cup odds of 9/4 for the English victory and both teams to score.
Our Prediction: England Win & BTTS – 9/4
England vs Ghana Picks & Odds
It has been a World Cup for the main stars so far. Lionel Messi has scored five goals, while Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland have both netted four times in two group games.
All eyes will now be on Harry Kane, who kicked off his World Cup with a brace in the 4-2 victory over Croatia. The Bayern Munich man has had an exceptional season for club and country, scoring 70 times.
Kane will be looking to keep up after watching the big hitters get even more goals this week. The England captain can pop up at any time and get his name on the scoresheet.
The Ghana defence could struggle to cope with Kane in this one, and you can get 12/5 for England’s main man to score two goals at Gillette Stadium.
Our Prediction: Harry Kane to Score Two Goals – 12/5
England vs Ghana Predictions
England were involved in one of the highest-scoring games of the World Cup so far. They were at their free-flowing best at times, but Tuchel’s men were also vulnerable at the back.
Kane gave the Three Lions the lead twice in the first half, but the Croatians pegged them back on each occasion. Ghana would have looked at that, and Queiroz’s boys will back themselves to exploit England’s backline.
We could be treated to plenty of goals in this Group L fixture, and there is good value in 13/8 for the England win and over 3.5 goals.
Our Prediction: England Win & Over 3.5 Goals – 13/8
