England’s 2026 FIFA World Cup gets back underway today when they face DR Congo in the Round of 32.

Thomas Tuchel’s men are one of the favourites to go all the way in North America, and the Three Lions are fancied to see off the Congolese in Atlanta. Check out the latest World Cup odds, picks, and predictions in this last-32 preview.

England vs DR Congo Picks & Preview

When the draw was announced, England were right up there with the favourites in the World Cup odds betting to win the tournament. The English have not lifted the World Cup since 1966.

The class of 2026 made a strong start, seeing off Croatia in a six-goal thriller in Texas. Harry Kane netted a first-half brace, with Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford on target in the second period.

A tough 0-0 draw with Ghana followed, but the Three Lions got back to winning ways last time out. They went up against Panama at MetLife Stadium, with Bellingham and Kane scoring in a routine 2-0 win.

Congo went through as one of the best third-place teams. They were in a tough group with Colombia and Portugal, but the Leopards picked up a respectable four points to take third position behind the pair.

Congo held Portugal to a 1-1 draw in their opening fixture. After going behind early, Newcastle United’s Yoane Wissa levelled on the stroke of half time.

They were narrowly beaten by the Colombians in game two, but Sebastian Desabre’s boys eased past Uzbekistan at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on matchday three to book their place in the knockouts. Wissa scored two, while Fiston Mayele was also on the scoresheet.

England’s form under Tuchel has been solid. Since he took over, the German has only suffered two defeats. After a 1-0 loss to Japan at Wembley Stadium in March, the Three Lions have won four and drawn one of the following five.

Congo have lost two of their last four matches, including the 1-0 reverse to Colombia in the World Cup. Also, Sunday’s 3-1 win against Uzbekistan was their first victory in five.

England struggled to break down African opposition in the shape of Ghana in the group stage, but Tuchel’s team should have no problems in this one.

We can see the European nation picking up a comfortable victory in Georgia and sailing into the next round. PricedUp are offering 19/10 for England to win both halves.

Our Prediction: England to Win Both Halves – 19/10

England vs DR Congo Picks & Odds

After conceding two in their opening match against Croatia, England have tightened up at the back. Jordan Pickford is in the mix in the World Cup Golden Glove odds to win the best stopper award, having kept back-to-back clean sheets.

Wissa has been in fine form in North America, but we fancy England to keep out the Newcastle striker and his teammates in this last-32 tie. The Three Lions are available at 4/5 to win to nil.

Our Prediction: England to Win to Nil – 4/5

England vs DR Congo Predictions

Kane may have slipped behind in the race to be the top scorer, with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe running away in the World Cup Golden Boot odds market. Nevertheless, the Bayern Munich goal machine has netted three in three in North America.

England will be looking to their captain to fire them into the last 16, and Kane is always hungry for goals. It could be another fruitful day for the No. 9.

Kane opened the scoring in the 4-2 victory over the Croatians in game one, and the Bayern man is available at 23/10 to score first in this knockout clash.

Our Prediction: Harry Kane to Score First – 23/10
