Best World Cup Predictions Today, 12 June: 0-0 (8/1) & Canada No Goals Scored (16/5)

The 2026 World Cup is finally up and running, and we’re all set for a busy opening weekend, kicking off with our World Cup predictions for a lively Friday evening.

First up, at 8pm, Group B gets underway as joint-hosts Canada face Bosnia & Herzegovina in Toronto, and we’ll also have FIFA World Cup best bets today for the USA’s opener against Paraguay in Group D.

Cagey Canada Lacking Bite

Canada boss Jesse Marsch has confirmed star man Alphonso Davies will miss this one through injury, and without him in the side, they could well struggle for inspiration.

At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Davies was the only Canadian to score in their three group games, and in ten friendly matches over the past ten months, they’ve managed only nine goals.

The Maple Leaves also find themselves up against a Bosnia side that secured qualification on a good defensive foundation, conceding only seven goals in eight qualifiers.

Despite that, Canada remain 2/1 second-favourites to win Group B, with Bosnia further back at 4/1. 

The first round of World Cup group games tend to be cautious affairs, with sides reluctant to give up early ground.

With that in mind, I’m expecting a tense, low-scoring encounter. I have high hopes for fellow hosts Mexico and the USA, but Canada look a level below, and 16/5 for Canada to not score against Bosnia is my opening World Cup prediction today. 

In fact, a draw wouldn’t be a terrible result for either side. Both will be targeting victories over a poor Qatar team, and 4 points would likely be enough to send each side through to the Round of 32.

So, my correct score prediction is Canada 0-0 Bosnia, available at 8/1. However, if you want to be slightly more conservative, back the draw at 12/5. 

Pulisic to Provide the Magic 

The United States begin their World Cup campaign in Los Angeles against Paraguay, who are arguably the weakest of the South American qualifiers.

That said, they’re no mugs at the back, conceding only ten goals in 18 qualifiers that featured eleven clean sheets.

Goals at the other end may well be a problem, though. Los Guaraníes scored only 14 during their qualification campaign, and just six in ten matches against the other five sides that qualified from the CONMEBOL region.

That spells trouble for the Paraguayans, but they face an American outfit that has kept just one clean sheet in their last eleven matches, spanning back to March 2025.

One man the US will be looking to for goals is captain Christian Pulisic, who has eleven of them in all competitions this season and is the poster boy of his national side.

I expect him to step up to the plate and a Pulisic goal anytime at 17/10 is sure to be a popular FIFA World Cup player prop bet tonight.

And although the USMNT have struggled to keep things tight at the back in recent times, I’m backing Mauricio Pochettino’s men to find form and have a solid campaign. At 11/8 to win Group D, and with home backing, they look decent value. 

My USA vs Paraguay correct score prediction is for a 2-0 USA win at 15/2 with PricedUp. Alternatively, the win & clean sheet double for the hosts has a great chance and looks real value at 21/10.
