US Open Quarter-final Predictions & Betting Tips 2026: Mixed American Fortunes

For our US Open Quarter-final predictions we have fascinating line-ups in both the men’s and women’s draws.

It’s a star-studded line-up on the WTA side, with six of the top eight seeds in the quarters, while in the men’s draw, the top two seeds feature alongside three players ranked outside the world’s top 40.

And we’re taking a look at some of the key match-ups alongside our 17/10, 4/5, 16/5 and even-money US Open Quarter-final predictions.

US Open Quarter-Final Predictions: Carlos to Cruise Through

The pick of the men’s quarters is undoubtedly Carlos Alcaraz’s clash with home favourite Ben Shelton.

And the Spaniard has a near-perfect record against tonight’s opponent, winning all three of their meetings, dropping only a single set out of the eight they’ve played. Straight sets victories were recorded in both matches on hard courts.

Alcaraz has been in superb form thus far, despite a four-month injury lay-off, and is yet to drop a set. Shelton, meanwhile, has been taken to four sets in three of his four outings, but looked excellent in dispatching the dangerous Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets in the Round of 16.

But I just can’t see anyone stopping Alcaraz on the way to another Grand Slam title, and 17/10 for a 3-0 win looks great value for a man in his form.

An All-American Clash

Alongside Shelton, fellow Americans Francis Tiafoe and Alex Michelsen meet for a place in the last four.

Tiafoe is no stranger to this stage of a Slam and has been in the last eight at Flushing Meadows in three of his last four visits, including victories in two of his quarter-finals.

This is uncharted territory for Michelsen, but the World No. 46 has had some decent results this year, including a straight sets victory over Taylor Fritz on the hard courts at Indian Wells in March.

It’s two wins for Tiafoe in the head-to-head but with Michelsen playing some of the best tennis of his career in New York this fortnight, I fancy this one to go close.

Over 39.5 total games at 4/5 is my pick.

Sabalenka Seeks Historic Three-peat

Next up on Aryna Sabelenka’s quest for a third successive US Open title is a meeting with Czech sixth-seed Linda Noskova.

She may not have dropped a set so far, but Sabalenka’s Round of 16 win over Taylor Townsend - featuring ten breaks of serve and a partisan crowd backing the American - was more hard fought than the scoreline suggests.

And she hasn’t dropped a set against Noskova, who was taken to a decider in her last two matches in New York.

Sabalenka was a 6-3 6-4 winner when these two met at Indian Wells a few months back and with the Belarussian looking unstoppable, a similar 2-0 victory looks great value at evens.

An All-American Clash…Again

We round off our US Open Quarter-final predictions with another meeting between two home favourites.

Jessica Pegula was my dark horse before the tournament and the 32-year-old has impressed so far, dropping just a single set.

Her quarter-final opponent is Emma Navarro, who has spent almost three more hours on court than Pegula to get to this stage.

25-year-old Navarro reached the semis here in 2024, during one of the best spells of her career, but this is only her second quarter-final in eight Slams since then, and she’s had a largely modest 2026 on tour.

And her record against Pegula is a poor one, losing all four of their meetings, although two of their last three have gone to a deciding set.

All signs point towards a Pegula win, but she’ll have to work for it. I’m going for a 2-1 victory for the New Yorker at 16/5.
