The Italian Open is in full swing at Foro Italico, with more thrilling action to get stuck into this Sunday. We have already reached the Round of 32 stage in Rome.

This Sunday in the men’s tournament, Alexander Blockx faces Alexander Zverev, and Casper Ruud takes on Jiri Lehecka. In the women’s Round of 32, Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Iga Swiatek lock horns in one of the standout matches.

Today’s Italian Open Tips & Predictions

Alexander Blockx vs Alexander Zverev

Zverev is looking to keep up his fine form when he faces Blockx in the Round of 32 in the Italian capital. As you would expect, the German is the clear favourite to book his place in the final 16 of the competition.

Blockx is currently ranked a career-high 36th in the world, and the 21-year-old is starting to make a name for himself on the ATP Tour. The young Belgian has beaten Federico Cina and Tallon Griekspoor to set up this mouth-watering last-32 matchup against one of the world’s best.

Zverev is the No. 2 seed at Foro Italico, and the German ace is gunning for a 25th career singles title. The 2025 Australian Open runner-up is sitting pretty in third place in the current world rankings. He saw off Daniel Altmaier in the previous round and is looking to go far in Rome.

Zverev is the red-hot favourite in this Round of 32 clash, and we can see the 29-year-old German sailing to victory against the inexperienced Belgian. Zverev to win 2-0 is available at 7/10 with PricedUp.

Our Prediction: Alexander Zverev to Win 2-0 – 7/10

Casper Ruud vs Jiri Lehecka

Ruud and Lehecka go head-to-head in an intriguing Round of 32 matchup this Sunday afternoon. Although Lehecka can beat anyone on his day, Ruud is the bookies’ favourite to secure a passage to the next round.

Ruud, who was ranked second in the rankings in 2022, is looking to rekindle his best form this year. The current world No. 25 is ranked lower than Lehecka in the standings, but many will be backing Ruud in this one.

The Norwegian kicked off his Italian Open with an easy victory over American Zachary Svajda. As for Lehecka, he got the better of German veteran Jan-Lennard Struff in the second round, winning in straight sets (7-6, 6-3).

This is one of the more fascinating Round of 32 matches in the men’s section, and it could go either way despite what the bookies are saying. We think it could be closer than many think, so check out the solid tennis odds of 14/5 for Ruud to win by two sets to one.

Our Prediction: Casper Ruud to Win 2-1 – 14/5

Elisabetta Cocciaretto vs Iga Swiatek

Swiatek continues her Italian Open with a Round of 32 match against Cocciaretto this Sunday. Swiatek, the No. 4 seed in Rome, will back herself to see the job through against the crowd favourite.

Cocciaretto is a capable player, winning two singles titles, with her last victory coming at the 2026 Hobart International in January. On her way to the third round of the Italian Open on home clay, the 25-year-old from Ancona has beaten Sinja Kraus and Emma Navarro without dropping a set.

Swiatek is one of the favourites in the Italian capital, and the six-time Grand Slam champion is gunning for a 26th career title this year. Her form may have dropped, but the Polish star remains one of the strongest players on the WTA Tour.

Swiatek was made to work hard for her 2-1 victory over Caty McNally in her Italian Open opener. Still, we fancy the current world No. 3 to secure a comfortable third-round victory. Take a punt on the Pole to win in straight sets at 1/3.

Our Prediction: Iga Swiatek to Win 2-0 – 1/3
