Third travel to fifth in the Premier League as Brighton head to Liverpool for what could be a Sunday afternoon cracker.

I’m having a tough time calling this, but stick around for my 8/3, 7/2, 10/13 and 9/7 Liverpool vs Brighton predictions.

Liverpool vs Brighton Odds

It’s not too often you see Liverpool priced at better than even-money for a home game, but Betnero still have the Reds down as favourites ahead of their in-form opponents.

1X2: Liverpool 9/8, Draw 11/4, Brighton 2/1

Both Teams to Score: Yes 1/2, No 17/11

Over/Under 2.5 Goals: Overs 4/7, Unders 15/11

The bookies are, quite rightly, keen to avoid overpricing a Brighton side that is brimming with confidence, but is 2/1 to enough value in what would be only a second league win at Anfield since 1982?

James’ Liverpool vs Brighton predictions are available to back at Betnero and odds are correct as of 8am on Sunday 25th October.

They certainly aren’t firing on all cylinders, but three wins in a week has brightened the mood on Merseyside ahead of a tough run of fixtures that includes Anfield showdowns with both Arsenal and Man United.

Goals are clearly not a problem going forward, but a return of just three clean sheets is a concern for manager Andoni Iraola, who faces a Brighton side that has failed to score in only two matches all season.

It’s been a superb start to the campaign for a Seagulls side playing some of the best football in the club’s history.

Brighton’s 0-0 draw at Jablonec in the Conference League on Thursday was with a much-changed line-up, so their first-choice eleven should still be fresh for this one.

Liverpool vs Brighton Prediction - Both Teams to Score at least 2 Goals @ 8/3

It would take a brave tipster to separate these two and while it might appear that I’m short on courage, I think there’s much more value to be had in the goals market.

We know Liverpool can turn over any side on their day at Anfield, and with their forward line banging in 12 goals in the last four-and-a-half hours of football, I just can’t see Brighton keeping them out.

But you can’t ignore the hosts’ patchy defensive record, which has featured some interesting interpretations of defending in recent weeks.

Throw in a Brighton side that have been in irresistible scoring form in both domestic and European football and what we’re left with is a potential goal fest.
