New Bournemouth boss Marco Rose is still looking for his first Premier League win. However, after narrowly losing at Manchester City on the opening weekend, the Cherries have drawn with Everton, Newcastle United, and Brentford in their last three.

Rose’s troops have picked up victories in the Carabao Cup and UEFA Europa League. They beat EFL Championship side Lincoln City 4-0 in the cup and secured a 2-1 away win at Real Sociedad in Europe.

Iraola Unbeaten So Far

Iraola, who left Bournemouth for Liverpool in the summer, has had a mixed bag of results so far. In the Premier League, the Reds have won one and drawn three of their opening four, sitting tenth on six points.

In the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool kicked off their campaign with an impressive 2-1 home win against Atletico Madrid, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister getting the goals. They also won 3-1 against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup in midweek.

Iraola has yet to taste a defeat as Liverpool boss, winning three and drawing three of six in all competitions. The Spaniard will be desperate for a positive result at his former club today.

Recent Head-to-Head Meetings

There were goals galore in the two Premier League meetings last term. In the game at Anfield in August, Liverpool secured a 4-2 win in a six-goal thriller. Bournemouth got revenge in the Vitality meeting in January, running out 3-2 winners on home turf.

Before the defeat in the last fixture, Liverpool had won six in a row in all competitions against the Cherries. Back in August 2022, the Merseysiders famously beat Bournemouth 9-0 in a Premier League fixture at Anfield.

Liverpool’s Hungarian midfielder Szoboszlai has been in excellent form at the start of this season. On Tuesday night, the No. 8 scored a worldie in the 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Spurs at Anfield.

The 25-year-old was also on target in the 2-2 draw at Newcastle on the opening weekend of the EPL season and netted in Liverpool’s 2-1 win against Atleti in the Champions League.

Szoboszlai always has an eye for goal, scoring 31 in 153 league and cup appearances for Liverpool since making the move from RB Leipzig in 2023. He also netted in the 3-2 loss at Bournemouth in January.

Szoboszlai will want to keep his excellent early-season form going before the international break, and the midfielder is nicely priced at 13/5 to score anytime.
