Making an England vs Spain prediction is always tough work. The two sides have been evenly matched for a while now, and Saturday’s encounter at Wembley is the first meeting since the Spaniards came out on top in the final of the Euro 2024 Championships.

With Spain arriving in imperious form and England suffering several squad withdrawals, I like the look of the world champions coming out on top.

Victory here in 2018 means this crop will arrive at Wembley with no fear, as well as a number of Premier League players who know how this England side tick.

The hosts have an excellent home record, but it has predominantly come against weaker opposition, and after a turbulent World Cup, Thomas Tuchel’s men are there for the taking.
