Day 4 of Royal Ascot is here and Ed Quigley is on hand to give us his best wagers for what should be a belting day of action...

Royal Ascot 3.05 - Venetian Sun

This is an absolute cracker on paper, and I am very much looking forward to seeing the Karl Burke trained Venetian Sun strut her stuff at Ascot and I'm really looking forward to seeing her, where it will be good to see her back on her happy hunting ground at Ascot. Last year's Albany winner, Venetian Sun is likely to be all the rage in this market and for good reason. Sprinting suits this filly, and she looked much happier back at the 6f trip when winning last time out. With Royal Ascot winning form on the CV, she could prove a tough individual to pass for the Karl Burke team as she has gears to burn and underfoot conditions should be spot on for her. I really like her chances.

Royal Ascot 3.40 - Teumessias Fox e/w

This has a wide-open look to it, and I am going to take a chance on the Andrew Balding trained Teumessias Fox who has run some good races here in the past and is looking fairly treated of a mark of 98. He is a consistent sort who likes a big field and this scenario can see him run a big race now that he has eased down the weights a bit. The Andrew Balding team are in fine fettle at present, and it wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world if the 7-year-old were to hit the frame at attractive odds. Jason Watson takes the ride, and this combination look to have each-way claims in an incredibly wide-open looking race at the Royal Meeting.

Royal Ascot 4.20 - Precise

Precise is a class act, and should prove very difficult to beat here. She bombed out in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket, where her troubled preparation appeared to get the better of her, as she disappointed in seventh. Either side of that she has looked an absolute machine, winning five races, and she turned the tables on her Newmarket conqueror last time out. She bolted up in the Irish equivalent last time out, where True Love couldn't land a blow, and she can kick on even further on the back of that run. Ryan Moore is in the saddle, and we can see this filly be successful at Group 1 level once again here for the Aidan O'Brien team who continue to fire in the winners.

Royal Ascot 5.00 - Seet

There is no denying that Seet looks exciting and she goes in search of making it three wins in a row as she tries to win the Sandringham off a mark of 96. The daughter of Too Darn Hot ran a real eye-catcher when fifth on debut, and since then has notched up back-to-back successes with plenty of authority. She produced a smart performance at Wolverhampton on her penultimate start, and then at Doncaster last time out she had far too much class for her rivals. The John & Thady Gosden trained team have enlisted the services of Ryan Moore for this encounter, and this combination look to have rock solid claims. It wouldn't surprise me if she was massively ahead of the Handicapper and gets the vote from me to taste success in her biggest assignment to date.
