It has been a stunning week of Racing, and the final day of Royal Ascot 2026 is here. Ed Quigley who has been in sparkling form since Tuesday, and is back with his best bets in the card...

Royal Ascot 2.30 - Flight Signal e/w

Flight Signal looks very exciting. This Mehmas colt is all speed on pedigree, and looked exactly that when winning in facile fashion on debut at Bath. It may have only been a minor event, but he did it in the manner of a horse who is more than worthy of having a crack at this event. Forecast fast ground should be perfect for him, and this speedball can be delivered late in the hands of James Doyle who has been having an excellent meeting so far. Archie Watson has a knack of getting the best out of his sprinters and does very well with his Juvenile crop. I can see more success for Wathnan Racing here and Flight Signal looks a solid each-way play in what, naturally, looks a wide-open encounter with so many unexposed sorts in the line-up.

Royal Ascot 3.05 - Amiloc e/w

It would be fair to say that Amiloc is a bit of an enigma, but when he is on song he is very good as we saw when he landed Group 2 honours over Course and Distance 12 months ago. He looked badly in need of the run when disappointing in the Yorkshire Cup last time out, where it is possible he didn't stay 1m6f, and was badly in need of the race after over 6 months off the track. That run should have taken the freshness out of him, and removed the ring-rust, and he shouldn't be discounted back at the scene of his best performance. On ratings he isn't far at all off the best in the field here, and Ralph Beckett/Rossa Ryan combination always have to be feared. I think he looks the each-way angle in a highly-competitive race.

Royal Ascot 3.40 - Powerful Glory e/w

We saw one of the biggest shocks of all time on a British Racecourse when Powerful Glory ran down Lazzat to land the Champion's Day Sprint last October at odds of 200/1. But on the face of it, there was no fluke about that performance as he travelled very well from off a strong pace in the hands of Jamie Spencer. The run at the Curragh would have been needed last time out, and that should have him absolutely spot-on today. Given the make-up of this race, he looks massively overpriced to repeat the heroics where he can stalk into contention and hopefully pounce late. I think this combination could cause another minor upset for the Richard Fahey team.

Royal Ascot 5.00 - Leovanni e/w

Wathnan Racing are well represented once again in this encounter, but I'm not siding with their first string, as I am with Leovanni who looks like an each-way play for the Karl Burke team. A former winner of the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot two years ago, it has been a bit of a stop-start career for the 4-year-old, but she has a touch of class and can get involved in the shake-up here. Obviously she has the aforementioned win at this meeting on the CV, and she arrives here on the back of a wind-operation having finished fourth at Lingfield in a Listed Race when last seen. That was her first start after a long absence, and she can make a bold bid here with Kiwi ace James McDonald in the saddle.

Royal Ascot 6.10 - Illinois e/w

Illinois seems to always bring his A-game to the Royal Meeting, and I think he won't be far away here for the Aidan O'Brien team. The 5-year-old is a very smart sort on his day, and he demonstrated that when he won here two years ago in the Queen's Vase, and then chased home Trawlerman in the Ascot Gold Cup 12 months ago. I think he has every chance of getting back on track here, and I am very happy to forgive his no-show at Epsom last time out where he hated the testing ground. This is much more of a comfortable scenario for him, where underfoot conditions will be much more suitable this time around, and I would be far from shocked if he got back in the winner's enclosure here with the superb Ryan Moore in the saddle.
