Ed Quigley fired in the winners over the weekend, and is back with his best bets for Tuesday's action...

Lingfield 3.10 - Banksman e/w

I'm going to have a small each-way dabble on Banksman each-way. Recent form hasn't been anything to write home about, but this lightly-raced sort is a previous winner over Course and Distance, and off a mark of 53, is far from impossibly handicapped. Stall 4 provides a handy gate, and if this individual hit the frame at attractive odds we are going to be far from surprised. Edward Greatrex takes the ride and can hopefully smuggle the gelding into contention at attractive odds in a race that looks to have a fairly wide-open feel to it on paper. Man Is King will be popular, but I think you can throw a blanket over many of them and Banksman is the pick for an upset.

Nottingham 3.50 - Capichera

This is a trappy looking handicap for the Fillies, but I think this can go the way of the Ed Walker trained Capichera as she makes her Handicap debut. She looks to have major claims here on the basis of her defeats look like strong form. The collateral form of her recent runs is looking robust; her runner-up effort at Chelmsford ha worked out delightfully, and the Newmarket Maiden in which she was third in 34 days ago is looking red-hot and has been franked subsequently so there could easily be more to come as she delves into the handicap ranks off a mark of 80. Kieran Shoemark takes the ride and Capichera looks more tuna capable of getting involved at the business end of proceedings here.

Huntingdon 7.00 - Ride Like A Girl

Jamie Snowden and Gavin Sheehan are a team who have been firing in winners at a relentless rate over the course of the last two years or so, and they can add to their tally here with handicap debutante Ride Like A Girl looking to hold solid claims in this Mares' Handicap Hurdle. She returns to the track with a tongue-tie on for the first time having had a wind-operation during her layoff. If she is fit and firing, then she could take some stopping here returning to Huntingdon, where she recorded her solo career win to date, which came when scoring emphatically in a Bumper on spring ground. Everything looks set for a bold bid off top weight with the yard operating at around a 30% strike-rate for May. I like the look of the chances for this unexposed Mare who can get off the mark over Hurdles at the fourth attempt.

Huntingdon 7.30 - Ballintubber Boy

It is hard to overlook the record of Ballintubber Boy at this venue, and he gets the nod from me in this Class 3 Handicap Hurdle over 3m1f. The 9-year-old hasn't won since 2024 - but that was over course and distance off 2lb lower and he clearly excels over this trip and track as he has an unblemished record of three wins from three starts in these surroundings. He wasn't a natural over fences, but has to be taken seriously here off a BHA mark of 122. The tongue-tie and visor are retained and conditions should be absolutely spot on for him. It is also worth noting that he has a very good record when fresh, so a 210-day layoff should not be used as a negative for a yard that can often ready them off a long layoff. Sam Twiston-Davies takes the ride, and this combination should go well.
