Newmarket 1.55 - Graceful Song (5/4)

The Godolphin representative won in good style on debut and will be looking to kick on now upped in grade.

Graceful Song won nicely in her debut three weeks ago and looks to have outstanding claims of keeping her unblemished record intact here for the Charlie Appleby team in the Group 3 Sweet Solera.

Billy Loughnane is in the saddle and takes the ride on this daughter of Dubawai, who showed good gears on her debut to win in nice style.

On paper, she looks the part and appears to have the potential to take her form to this level and beyond. Underfoot conditions should be spot on for her, and we could have a smart filly in action here.

I wouldn't be surprised if she won this and then heads on to bigger and better things at the back end of the summer for the team in blue.

Ascot 2.45 - Night Breeze (7/2)

Last year's winner looks to have solid claims of landing the spoils once again.

Night Breeze landed this contest 12 months ago and could easily follow up once again for the Ian Williams team. Night Breeze absolutely adores Ascot and looks to have the tools required to win once again; with a record of two wins and one placed effort from three starts over course and distance.

It's fair to say that the six-year-old comes alive at this venue and looks to be the one they all have to beat.

Quick ground suits, and the return to 1m4f will be right in his wheelhouse.

The Ian Williams team have been amongst the winners lately, and the trainer has secured the services of the superb Dylan Browne McMonagle, who is one of the top riders in Europe at the moment. It's hard to boot him out of the frame, and I can see this combination putting up a bold defence of their title here at Ascot.

Haydock 3.00 - Fallen Angel (8/11)

Wathnan Racing have been amongst the winners lately and will be looking for Fallen Angel to get back to winning ways.

Fallen Angel represents the Wathnan set-up, and this looks to be a golden opportunity for the classy Mare to get back to winning ways, dropping down to Listed company.

She has been a star for connections, and Karl Burke will be looking at the combination of this drop in Grade and trip to prove the catalyst for her getting back in the winner's enclosure.

On official ratings, she has a fair bit in hand, as she is rated 116, and her nearest rival is nine pounds inferior. For an individual who has been constantly locking horns in Group 1 and 2 assignments over the course of her career, she can really take advantage of dropping into calmer waters for today's race.

The excellent James Doyle takes the ride on the daughter of Too Darn Hot, and this combination should prove a very tough nut to crack in this company. In essence, I think this multiple Group 1 winner will have too much up her sleeve for her rivals.
