It's Saturday, and it's a busy afternoon of action with Flat and Jumps cards taking place at Newbury and Market Rasen. Ed Quigley is back after a stellar week of tipping winners and is on hand to serve up his best Horse Racing Tips for the day, seeking out the value angles amongst the races.

Saturday's Horse Racing Tips for July 18: Symbol Of Honour will enjoy the return to Newbury, and Dan Skelton looks to be set for a big day at Market Rasen...

Market Rasen 2.10 - Louis Veron

Louis Veron looks just the type of individual who could be well ahead of the Handicapper for the red-hot Dan Skelton team...

Louis Veron is totally unexposed and could be a step ahead of the accessor arriving into this race off a BHA mark of 124 for Handicap debut. The 5-year-old has bolted up on his last two starts, including last time out at Stratford in what was a facile success. He cruised through his assignment and won 16 lengths on the bridle in superb fashion. Naturally, he is heading into much deeper waters here, but looks the type to handle this bigger occasion, and I would be shocked if he didn't have a few pounds up his sleeve. He is a smart jumper, and it will take a good one to beat him with Harry Skelton taking the ride with this combination taking on a few exposed types here.

Market Rasen 2.45 - Kingston Narcissus

KIngston Narcissus has pressing claims of making it a really good day for the Dan Skelton team in the Summer Plate worth over £40,000 to the winner...

Kingston Narcissus takes a step back up in trip, and today's stamina test should really suit this lightly-raced Chaser who has won one of his three starts over fences, and has been runner-up on the other two. The cheek-pieces are applied for the first time, and this talented individual has the propensity to well-handicapped coming into this test off a mark of 126. We saw at Uttoxeter last time out that he was in top gear all the way over the minimum trip, and therefore I think this looks absolutely spot on for him. The yard can do very little wrong at present and I would be surprised if Kingston Narcissus wasn't involved at the business end of proceedings.

Newbury 3.02 - Symbol Of Honour

Symbol Of Honour hasn't quite been firing on all cylinders in recent times, but a return to Newbury could do the trick....

Symbol Of Honour represents the Charlie Appleby and William Buick combination, and I think the Goldolphin representative looks more than capable of getting back to winning ways in the Group 3 Hackwood Stakes over 6f. The 4-year-old has been running decent races in recent times without catching fire, but did win on his only previous start over Course and Distance, so a return to this venue looks a wise move for the gelding. The yard are going well, underfoot conditions will suit, and on ratings he doesn't have much to find. This race looks like it should be tailor made for him and I think a return to the winner's enclosure would be far from a shock. I like their claims with the yard operating at nearly a 30% strike-rate for July.
