BEVERLEY RACECOURSE, EAST YORKSHIRE, UK : 21 April 2022 : The sight of racehorses finishing a race on The Westwood with St Marys Parish Church, Beverley in the background

We have something for everyone on Tuesday afternoon, with plenty of competitive action on the Flat, and the feature meeting coming from Goodwood, where we have a seven-race card.

I will be keeping my eyes on the Jumps Racing at Bangor too, where the juggernaut that is the Dan Skelton team looks set for some cracking chances of further success. There is no let up from the Warwickshire handler, as the Skelton yard are operating at a 35% win strike-rate for September and will be looking to enhance that statistic at the twilight fixture at the Welsh venue.

Horse racing analyst Ed Quigley shares his Virgin Bet Daily Price Boost Handicap best bets, plus tips for other races on the card.

Horse Racing Tips for Virgin Bet Daily Price Boost Handicap (6f - Class 4) - 5.00 at Goodwood

Switching the attention back to Goodwood, this Class 4 Handicap at 5.00 looks a bit of a puzzle to try and solve, but my attention was drawn to OLD IS GOLD, who ran a real eye-catching race at York last month when sporting a first-time visor.

Winless since his sole win at Beverley over a year ago, he was slowly away on the Knavesmire in that 5f assignment, but made late headway despite being hampered to finish fifth. That run demonstrated that plenty of the old spark is still there for the Wathnan Racing representative, and from a visual perspective, the step back up to 6f looks as though it will really suit this relatively unexposed 3-year-old. He gets to race off a career-low mark of 83 and returns to the Sussex venue where he has run well over C&D in the past, finishing third off 4lb higher last year.

Oisin Murphy takes over in the saddle, teaming up with the Andrew Balding outfit, who are having a wonderful time of things over the course of the last few months.

I think this combination has red-hot claims here, and Old Is Gold is undoubtedly starting to look well handicapped and can take advantage of the declining mark in this field, where many of his opponents are scratching around for form presently.

Prediction for 5.00 at Goodwood: Old Is Gold NAP (187/100)

Ed Quigley's Next Best Bet for Bangor on Tuesday

We only have the four runners due to line up for this Novices' Limited Handicap Chase, but by far the most fascinating runner in the field is the 7-year-old ROADLESSTRAVELLED, who makes his Chase debut.

The wheels have come off a little bit with his career mixing both Hurdles and Flat, but he has a lot of back class and is bred to jump a fence, so he can be the answer to this trappy little encounter. If you go back to 2024, he was romping home in a Grade 2 Novice Hurdle, and in context, he looks to be more than fairly treated first time up over the larger obstacles, being asked to defy a mark of 132.

If things click here, then it opens up all sorts of opportunities, and a big performance should be in store for this Jonjo & Alex O'Neill runner. Trip and ground suit, and he is definitely the candidate with the potential class edge in this field.

The other three intended runners have to be respected, including last time out winner Captain Cool, in what looks like an encounter to keep an eye on Tuesday's tee time.

Prediction for 5.12 at Bangor: Roadlesstravelled (11/4)
