AINTREE RACECOURSE, LIVERPOOL, UK : 9 April 2022 : Noble Yeats ridden by Sam Waley-Cohen and trained by Emmet Mullins jump The Chair whilst winning the 2022 running of the Randox Grand National

The Jumps action has really stepped up recently, National Hunt fans have a stunning day ahead, and I'm here to share my horse racing tips for three tracks today.

Wincanton's loss is Aintree's gain, and Liverpool won't miss the action. Alexi and Mydaddypaddy meet in an early-season clash as two pretenders for the March Champion Hurdle lock horns. That should be an absolute belter, and is one not to miss. Elsewhere, the Rising Stars Novice Chase only has a small field, but has attracted plenty of quality. We have competitive action at Uttoxeter to look forward to, and Doncaster will serve up some interesting-looking betting heats on November Handicap Day, with two classy-looking Listed contests to run alongside it.

I tipped a hat-trick of winners last Saturday, and I'm on the hunt for more success this weekend as I reveal my best wagers.

My horse racing tips for 7 November include Uttoxeter, Doncaster, and Aintree best bets.

Aintree Best Bet for Saturday: Alexei at 1.45pm

This race should be a great contest in itself, but also very informative for the future. Mydaddypaddy and ALEXEI clash in an early-season blockbuster that will no doubt have a strong bearing on the Champion Hurdle market, as two of the bigger hopes from the 'home team' look to lay down a marker as challengers to Lossiemouth in just over 4 months' time.

Alexei finished fourth in the Champion Hurdle last season, but a major blunder at the last Hurdle cost him any chance of finishing second behind Lossiemouth, who had flown up the hill. He should have learned a great deal from that effort, and he can offer a lot more this term. Still only 6 years old, he is relatively unexposed, and will be much happier back down at 2m for this assignment. He looked very impressive when he landed last season's Greatwood Hurdle, and his current official rating of 158 tells you everything you need to know about him — he isn't far from the big leagues, and can set up a tilt at the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton with success here. The Joe Tizzard team are in red-hot form, and Alexei can land this.

Mydaddypaddy was arguably a little unlucky in last season's Supreme, and the 5-year-old has plenty of untapped potential heading into this encounter. He looks more than capable of a bold show. The Skeltons are oozing confidence with all their runners at the moment, and Mydaddypaddy is a major player here, as I am sure we are far from seeing the ceiling of this individual's ability.

Next Best Horse Bet for Saturday: Taurus Bay at Aintree (2.24 pm)

It was a bit of a rush by all accounts to get TAURUS BAY to the Cheltenham Festival in March, and that troubled preparation showed as he arrived undercooked on the big day. However, this former point winner now embarks on a Chasing career, and should be ready to rock and roll now tackling the larger obstacles for the first time. He looked very smart when he won over Hurdles last season, and he should have much more to offer in this discipline, where he can take his form to the next level. In time, I wonder if he may well suit a drop back to 2m, but for now, 2m4f on a Flat track should pose no fears, and I like his claims for the Ben Pauling team, with Ben Jones in the saddle.

A bit of cut in the ground should see him at his best, and this combination can serve it up to the market protagonists here. After a quiet October, the Naunton Downs yard are warming to the task nicely, and Taurus Bay can land this en route to even bigger targets.

More Horse Racing Predictions

FRENCH SHIP has a lot of ability, and catching him fresh might be the right play. He was very good early last season before his season fizzled out a bit, but it is worth persevering with him here as connections look at the 3m route once more. Ben Jones takes the ride for the Hobbs & White team, and I think French Ship has unfinished business.

Elsewhere on the level, don't rule out a big run from Lord Melbourne in the November Handicap at 3.25pm. The winner of this race in 2024, he wasn't beaten all that far 12 months ago off a 6lb higher mark. Underfoot conditions should be spot on for him, and he looks a solid each-way runner for the Ralph Beckett team, with Harry Vigors claiming 5lb.
