Horse Racing Tips: Beverley - Kitsune Power Looks the E/W Bet at 15/2 on Tuesday, 14/7
It's Tuesday, and it's a busy afternoon of action with Flat cards taking place at Beverley, Ffos Las and Leicester. Ed Quigley is on hand to serve up his best Horse Racing Tips for the day, seeking out the value angles amongst the races.
Tuesday's Horse Racing Tips for July 14: Star Velocity to live up to her name at Ffos Las, and Kitsune to show his Power at Beverley...
Ffos Las 3.30 - Star Velocity
Star Velocity was a real eye catcher on debut, and can get in the winner's enclosure at the second time of asking...
Star Velocity represents the Rossa Ryan and Ralph Beckett combination, and this daughter of Zoustar looks to have found the perfect opportunity to get off the mark in a week looking affair. The filly looked badly in need of the experience when falling out of the stalls at Southwell on debut, and was always on the back-foot after that as she stayed on in the closing stages to finish third. However, that initial outing should have done her the world of good and she should be much more street-wise for this assignment. With natural improvement expected, she can take a step forward here in a race lacking depth. Nevasca Cinza is the most exposed in the line-up, but brings a fair level of form to the table, officially rated 73. The visor goes on for the first-time in order to try and spark and improvement, but I would be surprised if Star Velocity didn't have the tools to improve past James Fanshawe runner. It is also worth noting that the Ralph Beckett team are in cracking form in July, operating at around a 26% strike-rate so far this month.
Beverley 3.48 - Kitsune Power e/w
Kitsune Power has been running well without winning in recent times, and is now looking too well-handicapped to ignore...
Kitsune Power has won for over two years, but running off a mark of 57 he jumps off the page from a handicapping perspective. His last aforementioned victory came off 17lbs higher, and he is a threat to all if he brings his best form to the table off his current mark. It is also worth noting that he has good form at the venue, winning once over Course and Distance, and having been placed on another occasion. A return to the Yorkshire venue will do the Tim Easterby runner no harm whatsoever. Underfoot conditions should be spot-on for the 7-year-old who can make a fist of this from stall 1 with nine runners due to go to post.
Leicester 4.30 - Fille Imbassee
Fille Imbassee won with plenty in hand last time out and can follow up the recent success...
Fille Imbassee won in good style last time out over Course and Distance, and looks set for a bold bid in order to make it back-to-back victories. The success last time out has only cost her a 3lb and she could easily progress beyond that rating with ground conditions to suit. 10f here on quick ground appears to bring out the best in her, and she could take some stopping once again for the Julie Camacho team, with Tom Kiely-Marshall claiming 5lb. She likes to get on with things at the head of affairs, so she should enjoy the small field scenario here where she can try and dominate off the front-end. I like the chances of this combination scoring once again at this venue.
