Hungarian GP Race Tips As Lando Norris Starts From Pole

After a dramatic qualifying session at the Hungaroring, here are our Hungarian GP race tips and predictions ahead of today’s race, which begins at 14:00 UK time.

Saturday delivered one of the closest pole battles of the season, and the reshuffled grid has created a fascinating strategic picture for the teams.

Lando Norris starts from pole after producing a superb final lap under pressure. His upgraded McLaren looked competitive throughout qualifying, and he delivered when it mattered most, beating Charles Leclerc by just 0.012 seconds.

Leclerc’s promotion to second gives Ferrari a valuable opportunity. The Monegasque driver had shown strong pace in earlier runs and now starts ahead of both Red Bulls.

Leclerc enters the race as a genuine contender for victory. Ferrari’s long‑run pace on Friday looked competitive, and the Hungaroring rewards the kind of smooth, controlled driving he has demonstrated all season.

Starting second gives him a strong chance of applying early pressure to Norris, and Ferrari will be confident about tyre management in hot conditions.

Norris remains a major threat. McLaren’s upgrades appear effective, and clean air at the front is a significant advantage at a circuit where overtaking is notoriously difficult.
