Belgian Grand Prix Tips With Antonelli On Pole Yet Again
After a thrilling qualifying session at Spa-Francorchamps, here are our Belgian Grand Prix tips and predictions ahead of today's race, which gets underway at 14:00 UK time on Sunday.
Saturday belonged to Mercedes as championship leader Kimi Antonelli produced another stunning qualifying display to secure pole position.
The Italian claimed his sixth pole position in the last 10 races, delivering a superb Q3 lap to finish more than three tenths clear of Max Verstappen.
Antonelli has looked untouchable for much of the weekend, and the Mercedes driver once again underlined why he remains the favourite to extend his championship lead.
Verstappen will line up alongside him on the front row after Red Bull executed a clever strategy, using Hadjar to provide a tow along Spa's long Kemmel Straight.
Lando Norris impressed by qualifying third despite abandoning his final flying lap, although a 10-place engine penalty drops the McLaren driver well down the grid.
George Russell could only manage fourth after another frustrating qualifying session, while Ferrari pair Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton start fifth and sixth respectively.
One of the standout performances came from Racing Bulls rookie Arvid Lindblad.
The British youngster qualified eighth in an upgraded car and will move further up the grid following penalties for Norris and Hadjar, putting him in an excellent position to challenge for another strong points finish.
Belgian Grand Prix Prediction
Antonelli enters Sunday's race as the clear driver to beat.
Mercedes have looked consistently quick throughout the weekend, and the championship leader has comfortably been the fastest driver over a single lap.
Starting from pole at Spa is never a guarantee of victory given the long run to Les Combes, but Antonelli has repeatedly demonstrated impressive race management this season and should be difficult to beat if Mercedes avoid any reliability issues.
Verstappen is likely to provide the biggest challenge.
The Dutchman starts alongside Antonelli and has an outstanding record at Spa, while Red Bull's straight-line speed could make life difficult for Mercedes during the opening laps.
Ferrari also look well placed for another competitive afternoon.
Leclerc starts inside the top five after winning at Silverstone and should once again be firmly involved in the fight for the podium, while Hamilton has the experience to move forward if conditions become unpredictable.
Further back, Lindblad has another excellent opportunity to continue his impressive rookie campaign.
The Racing Bulls driver has shown genuine pace all weekend and, with penalties promoting him up the order, a top-six finish is well within reach if he enjoys a clean race.
Most UK Betting Sites make Antonelli a strong favourite after qualifying, and based on everything we've seen this weekend, it is difficult to argue with the latest odds.
Belgian Grand Prix Race Tips
All odds taken from Betnero at 09:00 UK time on Sunday, 19 July 2026.
Kimi Antonelli To Win – 1.37
Our first selection is Antonelli to convert pole position into another Grand Prix victory.
The Mercedes driver has been the class of the field throughout the weekend, topping practice before producing a commanding qualifying performance.
With clean air at the front and excellent race pace all season, he looks perfectly placed to strengthen his championship lead.
Charles Leclerc To Finish On The Podium – 2.80
Next, we are backing Charles Leclerc to secure another top-three finish.
The Ferrari driver may only start fifth, but the Scuderia have shown encouraging race pace in recent rounds.
Leclerc also demonstrated strong speed during the opening Q3 runs before narrowly missing out on further improvement, suggesting he has the pace to fight towards the front over a full Grand Prix distance.
Arvid Lindblad To Finish In The Top Six – 3.85
Our final selection is Arvid Lindblad to finish inside the top six.
The Racing Bulls rookie continues to impress in his upgraded car and delivered one of the standout qualifying performances of the weekend.
Grid penalties ahead of him improve his starting position even further, while Spa's overtaking opportunities should allow him to maximise the car's strong pace.
