FA Cup Predictions, Odds & Betting Tips 06/11: Foxes Worth a Flutter

The world’s oldest cup competition has reached the First Round and we have FA Cup predictions for the opening two matches of the round on Friday night.
At the Memorial Stadium, League Two Bristol Rovers host League One surprise package Cambridge United, while National League North outfit Oxford City take on 2015/16 Premier League winners Leicester.
FA Cup Predictions For 06/11
Prior to their League Two campaign many had Bristol Rovers down as their favourites for promotion.
But after a busy summer that saw boss Steve Evans build an almost entirely new squad, his side have failed to get going in the fourth tier.
Rovers sit 17th in the League Two table despite winning three of their first four matches. 14 games in and they’ve only managed to add two further victories and their current run of five defeats in six has put any promotion talk on hold for now.
League One Cambridge, meanwhile, were in the top six after just one defeat in their opening ten, but a winless four-match run has seen them drop to eighth in the third tier.
James’ FA Cup predictions are available to back at PricedUp and odds are correct as of 10am GMT on Friday 6 November.
FA Cup Best Bets: Over 3.5 Goals @ 8/5 & Cambridge to WIN @ 11/10
So, we have two out-of-form sides meeting tonight, which does make life more difficult when compiling FA Cup predictions.
The goal angle is certainly worth a look. Both teams have scored in six of Cambridge’s seven away matches in League One this term, and it was a winner in two of the three games these two played against each other last season when the U’s were a League Two side.
At 8/15 the price for the same again is a bit skinny, but 8/5 for Over 3.5 Goals looks a decent alternative.
As far as a winner is concerned my money is on the visitors. Three of Rovers’ five wins this season have come against the bottom three sides in the EFL, while a record of one defeat in seven on the road suggests Cambridge should have enough at 11/10 with PricedUp.
A Banana Skin for the Foxes?
A Friday night trip to a side flying high in the sixth tier is probably the last thing Leicester boss Russell Martin was looking for.
The Foxes are in the top ten in League One but the campaign has seen the side
Oxford City, meanwhile, are second in the National League North and only one side in the division has scored more than them.
And with Leicester in a tough spot, all the ingredients are there for a potential FA Cup giant-killing.
Oxford City vs Leicester City Predictions: Leicester to Win to Nil @ 11/8 & Over 6.5 Leicester Corners @ 4/5
This match will be televised on TNT Sports, making it a great candidate for a mini bet builder.
First up, we’re going for Over 6.5 Leicester Corners at 4/5. The visitors have averaged 7 per game in League One this season.
And I can see Martin picking a strong side here as he looks to avoid his season plunging to even further depths. That should give them enough to win here without conceding and the Leicester Win to Nil offers great value at 11/8 - if you think League One class will tell against the semi-professionals.
Combining the two gives us a double that returns around £43 for a £10 stake.
