Chelsea v Man City Predictions & Betting Tips For the FA Cup Final
English football’s domestic showpiece tops the billing on Saturday afternoon as Chelsea, on a horrible run in the Premier League, face a Man City side still fighting for the title after beating Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
City will be looking to complete a cup double, after beating Arsenal 2-0 in the League Cup final back in March, while this is Chelsea’s only shot at a trophy this season.
We’ve taken a look at the crucial stats and picked out our Chelsea v Man City tips for the 3 o’clock kick-off.
Chelsea v Man City Predictions: Pep A Step Ahead
When looking at the form book, it’s clear who has the advantage going into this one.
Chelsea stopped the Premier League rot with their point at Liverpool last week, but it was six league defeats on the spin before then, including a 3-0 drubbing at home to Man City just over a month ago.
City’s last defeat in the Premier League, on the other hand, came in the Manchester Derby back in January, and no side can better their 67 points from their last 30 league games.
They also have a superb recent record against their opponents in the cup final. It’s an unlucky-for-some 13 games without defeat for Pep Guardiola against Chelsea, a run that includes 10 wins, two of which have come in FA Cup meetings.
That doesn’t bode well for a Chelsea side that still look undercooked at the highest level, and City tend to get the job done in cup finals.
So, our Chelsea vs Man City prediction is a 2-0 City win, which you can pick up at 13/2 with 10Bet.
James’ Chelsea vs Man City best bets are available with 10Bet, and odds are correct as of 8am UK time on Saturday 16th May.
Chelsea v Man City Tips: Anytime Goalscorer Prediction
You’re certainly not short of options when it comes to picking out Man City goalscorers.
Erling Haaland is the obvious pick, and for good reason. The Norwegian has 37 goals in all competitions so far, including seven in his last seven games.
But, at 4/5, he’s certainly not the most juicy of Chelsea vs Man City tips.
So instead, I’m going for Jeremy Doku, who himself is in great form.
The Belgian has scored in each of his last three games - including a goal at Wembley in the semi-final - and also found the net in that City win at Stamford Bridge a month ago.
And at 7/2, he looks like a great shout to breach a vulnerable Chelsea backline.
Chelsea vs Man City Best Bets: Draw Half-Time/City Full-Time
Cup finals are typically quite cagey affairs, so I don’t expect City to turn up and immediately steamroll Chelsea here.
And recent history between the two suggests that, too. Three of City’s last four victories against the Londoners have come after the sides were all square at the break.
If 3/4 for a City win doesn’t quite do it for you, go for the draw at half-time and City win double result at a much more appealing 7/2.
FA Cup Final Bet Builder
We’re wrapping up our Chelsea vs Man City predictions with an FA Cup Final bet builder and this one pays 7/1 with 10Bet.
A Doku goal anytime kicks things off at 7/2.
In the corners department, both sides’ matches this season have averaged just over 10, so over 9 corners is next up at 9/10.
And finally, Man City to lift the trophy goes in at an admittedly skinny 4/11. City in 90 minutes only adds an extra £5 or so of winnings here from a £10 stake, so I’m happy to forgo that loose change and give City extra time and penalties - should they need it - to get the job done.
