It’s crunch time in the English Football League and that means there are plenty of opportunities when it comes to EFL predictions and Championship betting tips.
We’re focussing on sides with plenty to play for in the second and third tiers, with plenty still to be decided…

Championship Tips: Middlesbrough to beat Watford To Nil - 5/2 at Matchbook
Boro are just three points off the automatic promotion places and need to keep their foot on the gas against Watford.
And the Hornets are a side that have been on the beach for a while now. It’s one win in their last nine games, most of which coming against sides struggling at the bottom.
The hosts haven’t been in great form themselves, though, but ended a seven-match winless run with a home win and clean sheet over Sheffield Wednesday in midweek. Only a victory will do here and I’m backing them to win comfortably against a side with nothing to play for.
Oxford to beat Sheffield Wednesday and Under 2.5 Goals - 9/4 at PricedUp
Oxford United’s Championship status is hanging on by a thread. Matt Bloomfield’s side are six points adrift of safety with two to play, but a home match against bottom side Sheffield Wednesday represents a golden chance to bag three precious points.
Wednesday still find themselves on -3 points after a season dogged by financial troubles and points deductions. The Owls are winless in their last 20 Championship away games and in 12 games on the road this calendar year they’ve picked up just one point and scored a paltry three goals.
Oxford don’t score many either, with seven of their last eight outings seeing under 2.5 goals, so with them needing a win, I’m going for the home victory and under 2.5 goals double at 9/4 with PricedUp.
EFL Predictions: Blackpool and Leyton Orient to Draw - 19/10 at PricedUp
It’s been a tough campaign for Ian Evatt’s Blackpool, but five wins from seven has the Tangerines in touching distance of safety.
A point would secure Blackpool’s League One status, but Orient are only three points above the drop zone with two to play.
The Londoners have been in very streaky form recently. A four-match winning run had them nestled nicely in midtable in March, but have gone six games without a win since then, scoring only twice.
Three of those matches did end in a draw, though, and with a point keeping Leyton Orient’s destiny in their hands going into the final day, while also confirming Blackpool’s safety, that’s what I’m going for in this third-tier clash.
7/1 EFL Treble
I’m backing three sides who all need wins for different reasons.
First up, a win for Ipswich at now safe West Brom will keep them second in the race for automatic promotion from the Championship.
Staying in the second tier and with Derby needing a win to have any chance of a top-six finish, I’m backing the Rams to be too strong for a QPR side that are winless in four and have no end-of-season agendas.
And finally, the last of our EFL tips is for Chesterfield to continue their League Two play-off march with a home win over Crewe. The hosts are unbeaten in six, winning four, and are in a great spot to nick a top-six spot at the death, while Crewe have fallen out of the race after losing three of their last four.
£10 on the treble returns just shy of £70 with PricedUp.
