Celtic vs. LASK Tips and Odds for 25 August: Celtic to Squeeze Through

Well, how about that from Celtic?!
They’ve made a mess of play-off round ties in the past, most notably a penalty shootout defeat to Kazakh minnows Kairat last season, but there was something very different about their performance against LASK on Wednesday night.
A 3-0 win is nothing to be sniffed at - and we landed the win & Over 1.5 goals double in our first set of LASK vs Celtic Tips - but the manner of the performance was the most impressive element, with a ruthless display of outstanding finishing.
But the Austrians had their moments and will need to fly out the traps in the second leg on Tuesday night if they’re to have any chance of progressing.
LASK Not Lacking at Home
LASK had two goals disallowed for marginal offsides in Glasgow and they certainly provided a threat on the break.
And their record at home is excellent, having lost only twice on their turf in the past 12 months.
But, as we saw in the first leg, they’re vulnerable at the back, and despite their home form, both teams have scored in six of the last seven matches at the Raiffeisen Arena.
And Celtic’s moments of magic suggest they don’t necessarily need to carve out massive openings to score here. So, with that in mind, both teams to score and over 2.5 goals both look like solid bets to me at 4/7 apiece with PricedUp.
James’ LASK v Celtic Tips can be backed at PricedUp and odds are correct as of 8am on Sunday 23rd August.
A new Celtic Superstar
Benjamin Nygren opened the scoring in midweek with a fabulous strike, but Camilo Duran stole the show with two brilliantly taken goals to help Celtic plant one foot in the league phase of the Champions League proper.
His brace came just four days after scoring against Dundee United, for his first goal since signing from Azerbaijani side Qarabag for around £5 million.
So, it looks like the 24-year-old has found his feet, and perhaps most impressively on Wednesday, his goals came from an xG of just 0.36, meaning he’s able to score goals from positions that don’t look too promising from a statistical point of view.
And with LASK likely to be on top as they chase goals, chances for the away side could be at a premium, so back Duran at 6/4 to score a crucial goal that will surely seal their place at Europe’s top table.
LASK Scoring Options
Moses Usor thought he’d scored a breath-taking opener inside the opening 30 seconds at Celtic Park, only his volley to be ruled out for offside.
The Nigerian had an excellent campaign in 2025-26, scoring 15 goals in 35 appearances, and he also picked up a goal and two assists in their last league game against Ried.
With form like that, he looks worth picking up at 6/5 to find the net anytime. LASK need at least three of them to keep their Champions League hopes alive, so you’d like to think they’ll come out all guns blazing here.
American Samuel Adeniran is another option and he too had a goal ruled out by the offside flag on Wednesday. The 28-year-old has 20 goal contributions from his last 33 appearances and has started the league campaign with four goals in three starts.
An Adeniran anytime goal is available at evens.
Celtic vs LASK Tips: Score Prediction
I expect LASK to throw everything at Celtic here, but ultimately, they’ve left themselves with too much to do.
They have enough going forward to give their hosts a scare or two, but I don’t think they’ll keep their own back door closed as desperation grows as the game wears on.
So, my final LASK vs Celtic tip is a 2-1 LASK win, which you can back at 8/1 in the correct score market.
