Hearts are just one win away from claiming their first Scottish Premiership title for 41 years, ending the Old Firm’s dominance. Derek McInnes’ men face Celtic in a final-day title shootout at Celtic Park this Saturday.

A Dramatic Week in the Premiership

Hearts could only manage a 1-1 draw at Motherwell last Saturday, leaving the door open for Celtic. At one point in midweek, the Edinburgh side were champions, as they led against Falkirk while the Bhoys trailed at Fir Park.

Hearts did their bit, cruising to a 3-0 victory on home turf. Celtic were seconds away from dropping two vital points, but a controversial penalty converted by Kelechi Iheanacho in the 99th minute has extended the title drama to the final day.

Hearts are just a point above Celtic, so a draw would be enough for the Jam Tarts. However, the Hoops will break their hearts if they win at a raucous Celtic Park.

It promises to be the most thrilling and nail-biting final day ever in the Scottish Premiership, as Hearts aim to end four decades of Celtic and Rangers championship dominance.

Can the Jambos Complete the Job in Glasgow?

Looking at the latest odds, Celtic are the favourites to win the match and subsequently be crowned champions once again.

Martin O’Neill’s boys are around 4/7 to take maximum points, while the best price for a Hearts victory is 4/1. Remember, a point will be enough for the away side, and the stalemate at Parkhead is available at 10/3.

Saturday’s showdown in Glasgow will be the fourth and final meeting between the pair this season. Hearts have certainly had Celtic’s number, winning two and drawing one of the three previous games.

The sides played out a four-goal thriller at Tynecastle Park in January when they last locked horns, with the Jambos coming from behind twice to grab a point. Avoid defeat on Saturday, and McInnes and his players will forever be heroes in the capital.
