Summerville Destined for Instant Premier League Return
Crysencio Summerville is set to leave West Ham United this summer following the club’s relegation from the Premier League. Several top-flight sides are reportedly interested in the Dutch international.
Summerville is currently enjoying a fine 2026 FIFA World Cup with the Netherlands national team, but where does his club future lie?
Summerville on the Move
West Ham are hopeful of keeping many of their star players at the London Stadium this summer, but Summerville is expected to move on. He has been a big hit with the Hammers fans since making the move from Leeds United, but he was powerless in West Ham’s battle for Premier League survival.
Some big clubs are apparently interested in his signature, with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal reportedly on red alert. The Premier League is his most likely destination.
Summerville has spent two seasons at the London Stadium after making the £25m move from Leeds in August 2024. He has played 50 times in the Premier League for the London side, scoring six goals.
The Rotterdam-born winger ripped up the EFL Championship when he last played in the division as a Leeds player a couple of years ago, but he is not willing to stick around in the second tier this time.
Starring in North America
Summerville will be in high demand after two excellent performances for Netherlands in the World Cup. The 24-year-old has been one of the stars of the show in North America.
Summerville scored an excellent goal against Japan on matchday one in Group F, following it up by getting on the scoresheet in Holland’s outstanding 5-1 victory over Sweden in game two.
The Dutch are all but through to the knockout phase, and Summerville will be looking to shine in the latter stages of the tournament. When he returns from the World Cup, the former Feyenoord man could be a Premier League player once again.
