FRANKFURT, GERMANY - 22 OCTOBER, 2025: Mohamed Salah - UEFA Champions League, match SG Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool FC at Deutsche Bank Park.

Mohamed Salah returned to action on Friday, coming on as a late substitute for Cody Gakpo in Liverpool’s 4-2 loss at Villa Park. Next week’s home matchup against Brentford will be Salah’s final game for the Reds.

Salah's Incredible Anfield Career

After signing from Roma in 2017, Salah has gone on to have an incredible career on Merseyside. Not only has he been one of Liverpool’s greats, but the Egyptian is one of the best players the Premier League has ever seen.

Over the last nine years, the attacker has netted 257 goals across all competitions. He is the third-highest scorer for the club, only behind the great Ian Rush and Roger Hunt.

Salah has scored 191 goals in the EPL, putting him fourth on the all-time scorers list behind Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, and Wayne Rooney. He is the all-time highest-scoring foreign player in England’s top tier.

Salah has had a memorable individual career at Liverpool, helping his side win a hatful of silverware, too. The striker has won two Premier League titles, two League Cups, an FA Cup, a UEFA Champions League, and many more trophies and individual awards.

Egyptian Set for Anfield Goodbye

Salah returned from a minor injury setback to feature at Villa Park on Friday. It was a bad night for the Reds, as Aston Villa ran out deserved 4-2 winners to secure their spot in next season’s Champions League.

Liverpool have one fixture left before signing off for the summer, but next week’s game against Brentford is all about one man. Salah is ready to make his final appearance in front of his beloved home crowd.

Despite not being at his best this term, the Egyptian ace has still managed to score 19 times for club and country. Salah has only scored seven goals in the Premier League, but three of those have come since March.

Liverpool’s last game of the season will be a celebration of their “Egyptian King”, who has brought the club so much joy over the last decade.
