Top Premier League Tips – Matches
Manchester City Over 1.5 Goals (1.86): Manchester City is in a prime position to slice their deficit for the top spot in the Premier League to three points with a win here. They have the rest advantage, having been off since dismantling Chelsea last week. Meanwhile, the Gunners were in action Wednesday in Champions League play. Arsenal has struggled in domestic play of late, dropping their last three matches. That includes a 2-0 defeat to this same Man City squad March 22 in the English Carabao Cup. Man City has won their last three, beating Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea by a combined 9-0 margin. They should score a pair here.
Burnley to Be Shut Out (2.12): Burnley hasn’t done much offensively with just 33 goals in their 32 Premier League clashes this season. The Clarets have mustered a paltry 297 shot attempts on the year. Burnley has failed to score in 13 of those matches, including three of their previous four. Nottingham Forest is no powerhouse, standing 16th in the league table but they are 1-0-3 in their last four matches. They have a chance to distance themselves from relegation with a win here. Nottingham Forest, with a little momentum, should keep Burnley off the scoresheet here.
Aston Villa (1.73): Aston Villa rolls in with a 4-0-1 mark in their last five matches overall and can move back into a tie for third in the table with Manchester United with a win here. They face a Sunderland squad that has won two straight but was 1-3-1 in the five matches before that. That rough patch included a loss to Port Vale, the next-to-last team in the English League One. On the road this season, Sunderland has just four wins in 16 matches (4-7-5), with a -12 goal differential. Aston Villa is 10-4-2 at home on the year. They take advantage of Sunderland’s inability to score on the road to earn the win.
Top Premier League Tips – Players
Erling Haaland, Manchester City Anytime Goal Scorer (1.81): If you’re considering someone to find the net, you can’t find a better option than Haaland. He leads the Premier League with 22 goals in league action, one more than Brentford’s Igor Thiago. Sure, he’s scoreless in his last four Premier League fixtures. We saw him tally a hat trick in Man City’s FA Cup win over Liverpool April 4. Haaland seems to be as close to full health as he’s been in a while. With a big match here against Arsenal in a showdown of the top two squads, Haaland will be amped to score.
Antoine Semenyo, Manchester City To Score or Draw an Assist (2.14): Should Haaland be held in check by the Gunners, someone else has to pick up the slack. Semenyo has made a big impact since coming over from Bournemouth in the transfer window in January. He has scored eight goals in 19 appearances for Man City. That includes five goals and one assist in 10 Premier League matches with the Black Stars. Even though he didn’t register a goal or assist against Chelsea, he had five shot attempts, two on target. It’s tough to contain both Haaland and Semenyo. One of them should break through here.
Dwight McNeil, Everton Over 1.5 Shots (1.85): Everton gets a crack at a reeling Liverpool squad. Arne Slot’s group has dropped four of their last five matches, including a pair of beatings by Paris Saint-Germain in Champions League action. Everton is 3-1-1 in their last five and McNeil has been a force in the midfield for them in that stretch. He has fired a dozen shot attempts in those five matches. He has at least two shot attempts in four of those five. Everton will wear Liverpool down and that helps McNeil find some chances of his own.
