There are four more matches on the docket for Sunday, so let’s take a look at the top Premier League betting tips for the action on tap. All odds are courtesy of BetNero and were current as of 1 am BST April 11.
Top Premier League Tips – Matches
Aston Villa vs. Nottingham Forest Both Teams to Score (1.75): Aston Villa is trying to move up the standings in the Premier League. Facing a Nottingham Forest squad that is 16th in the table could be a favorable clash for them here. The Tricky Trees were the lone side from the lower half of the table to win in their previous match before the break. That was their first win since beating Brentford back on January 25. We saw Aston Villa win 3-1 at home back on January 3. That marked the fourth straight time that the squads have met where both sides scored. Look for that trend to continue here.
Manchester City (2.00): Manchester City rolls in off blankings of Arsenal (in the Carabao Cup) and Liverpool (in the FA Cup) heading into this matchup. They entered the weekend nine points back of Arsenal for the top spot as we hit the home stretch of the Premier League season. Meanwhile, Chelsea was waxed by an 8-2 aggregate in the Champions League round of 16. They’ve dropped their last two Premier League matches and a 7-0 whipping of Port Vale means nothing. The Blues are dealing with injury issues and also have Enzo Fernandez down with a suspension. Man City can close the gap on Arsenal after the Gunners’ loss Saturday. Expect them to do just that.
Aston Villa (2.60): Aston Villa is on the road for the second time in three days here. They faced Bologna in a Europa League match Friday, winning 3-1 in the match. While Aston Villa may be a bit fatigued for this match, they beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 earlier this season at home. Aston Villa enters Sunday fourth in the standings and just one point behind Manchester United for third place. Nottingham Forest has struggled when it comes to scoring at home this year. Aston Villa shakes off their fatigue and earns the win. That would drop the Tricky Trees to 1-3-3 in their last seven matches.
Top Premier League Tips – Players
Erling Haaland, Manchester City Anytime Goal Scorer (1.71): Now, Haaland has tapered off a bit when it comes to scoring in Premier League action. With that said, he still leads the circuit with 22 goals in Premier League action. In all competition this season, he has scored 33 goals. Haaland had a hat trick in Man City’s win over Liverpool in the FA Cup. He has four goals on the books in his last four matches against Chelsea. Haaland was in top form last week against the Reds. If you’re really feeling it, you could play Haaland to score twice at 4.00 or if you’re really feeling spicy, for a hat trick at 13.00 in the match.
Elliott Anderson, Nottingham Forest Over 0.5 Shots on Goal (3.00): Nottingham Forest has had a rough go of things this season. They’ve had more managers (four) than wins at home (three) on the year. Speaking of playing at home, they’ve been snakebit, with just 5.7% of their shots on target finding the back of the net. Anderson has been proactive on the offensive end for the Tricky Trees. He's fired 24 shots in his last nine matches. If you’re worried about Anderson’s having a shot that is off target, we’ve got you covered. You can play Anderson over 0.5 shots period at 1.38 as well.
