Arsenal Eyeing Up Rogers Bid
Arsenal are reportedly readying a bid for Aston Villa and England star Morgan Rogers. The 23-year-old has emerged as a priority target for Mikel Arteta this summer.
With an alleged price tag of around £85m, Arsenal will be confident of getting a deal done for the attacking midfielder.
A Statement Signing
Arsenal won the Premier League title for the first time in two decades, but the London club are not resting on their laurels. With the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City set to bolster their squads this summer, the Gunners are looking to do some big business of their own.
Arteta is a huge admirer of Rogers, and the Spaniard is ready to make a formal bid for Villa’s main man. The Londoners already have a superstar squad, but adding Rogers would make them even stronger as they attempt to successfully defend their EPL crown.
The Aston Villa No. 27 has been a massive hit at Villa Park since making the move from Middlesbrough in 2024. He has made 125 appearances across all competitions, scoring 31 goals.
Rogers was inspirational for the Midlands club last season, helping Villa win the UEFA Europa League and secure a UEFA Champions League place in the Premier League.
Full Focus on England
Rogers’ club future may be up in the air, but his main focus right now is on England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He came off the bench in the Three Lions’ opening victory over Croatia, playing the last 20 minutes. Rogers will have a big role to play for Thomas Tuchel’s men in North America.
After the 4-2 win against the Croatians, England are in pole position to reach the knockout phase as group winners according to the World Cup Group L odds market. Next up for Rogers and his teammates is a game against Ghana at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada.
England then finish Group L with a meeting with Panama at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Tuchel’s Three Lions are hoping to reach the Round of 32 with nine points from a possible nine.
