Millwall Moved to 9/2 for Promotion After Perfect Start

Despite finishing third and reaching the play-offs last season, Millwall were somewhat overlooked in the EFL Championship promotion picture before a ball was kicked this term.

However, after making a perfect start to their 2026-27 campaign, the early leaders are now available at just 9/2 odds with 10Bet to be promoted to the Premier League.

Lions Make it Two Wins in Two

Millwall have made a blistering start to their Championship season, winning two out of two without conceding a goal. The Londoners kicked off with an impressive 2-0 victory at Bristol City, with Josh Coburn bagging a brace.

The Lions then put on the performance of the weekend on matchday two, thumping fellow promotion hopefuls Norwich City 3-0 at The Den. Alex Neil’s men were excellent, with Tairyk Arconte (2) and Luke Cundle getting the goals.

Millwall are one of just three teams to have taken maximum points from two games. Having scored five and conceded none, the London side sit proudly at the top of the Championship table.

They are also going great guns in the Carabao Cup, seeing off Queens Park Rangers on penalties in round one before a 1-0 win at Cambridge United on Tuesday night.

Tough Trip to St Mary’s Next Up for Millwall

Millwall take on Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium this weekend. It will no doubt be their toughest challenge of the season so far, but Neil and his troops will fancy their chances of maintaining their 100% record.

Southampton responded from the opening-day defeat at Watford with a 3-1 home victory over Stoke City last weekend. However, they were beaten 4-1 at home in the cup by West Ham United in midweek.

Millwall are playing with all the confidence in the world, and the Championship leaders are more than capable of making it three wins out of three.

The Lions head to St Mary’s as the 11/4 underdogs, while the home side are available at 9/10.
