PSG Emerge As Early Champions League Final Favourites
Our 2025/26 Champions League Final is now set in stone after Paris St Germain held on to beat Bayern Munich 6-5 on aggregate in Bavaria.
After being treated to a goal fest at the Parc Des Princes last week, it looked like we were going to be getting much of the same when Ousmane Dembele lashed home in the third minute after great work from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
And Bayern immediately began their push to get back in the game, with Jamal Musiala and Jonathan Tah both coming close in another frantic first half.
But the German champions were never quite at their free-flowing best and were always contending with a lethally dangerous counterattacking PSG frontline.
Harry Kane did restore parity on the night in injury time, but it was too little, too late, as PSG held firm to book a place in a Champions League Final for the second consecutive year and their third final in six years.
Awaiting them is Arsenal, after their narrow victory over Atletico Madrid in north London on Tuesday.
PSG Ahead In Early Betting
It was always going to be interesting to see how the bookies judged this one early doors.
PSG look every inch the best team in Europe and their status as defending champions further solidifies that, but with Arsenal closing in on the Premier League title and boasting an excellent record in Europe this season, this looks close on paper.
But the Ligue 1 leaders are the early frontrunners. PricedUp has Luis Enrique’s side as short as 11/10 to win in 90 minutes, with Arsenal slightly further back at 9/4 with the same bookie.
The two sides met, of course, in last season’s semi-finals, with PSG victorious home and away by one-goal margins to win 3-1 on aggregate, on their way to thrashing Inter 5-0 in the final.
If you think history will repeat itself, PSG to win by a single goal is available at 3/1, and the Parisians to go back-to-back and lift the trophy is a shade below evens at 7/10.
