Kane Signs Bumper Bayern Deal

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has committed his future to the Bundesliga champions after signing a new contract.
The 33-year-old, who last week became the first Englishman in a quarter of a century to win the Balon d’Or, has agreed fresh terms that will keep him in Bavaria until the summer of 2029.
The deal is believed to make Kane the highest-paid player in Europe on salary alone.
Just Reward for England Captain
Kane’s new contract comes on the back of a remarkable spell for the forward, both domestically and internationally.
After a trophyless first season with Bayern following his £86 million move from Spurs in 2023, Kane has made up for lost time with a success-laden two years with the club.
He is a reigning back-to-back Bundesliga champion and his side completed a league and cup double with victory over Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal in May.
For England, Kane is comfortably the national side’s record goalscorer, and he set new records during their run to the World Cup semi-finals.
During the group stage he surpassed Gary Lineker as England’s top scorer at World Cup tournaments, before becoming the country’s most-capped outfield player in the last-four defeat to Argentina.
European Glory Next on the Agenda
Bayern look a good bet to win a third straight Bundesliga title, but they sit top of the pile only on goal difference, with Borussia Dortmund on their tail after a 2-2 draw in Der Klassiker last Saturday.
But all eyes will be on whether Kane can pick up a first Champions League crown, after falling at the final hurdle with Spurs in 2019.
Munich sit 13th after two wins and two draws from their opening four matches, with current Champions League odds pricing them at around 6/1 to lift the trophy.
