Champions League Predictions Today: Sides

Arsenal to Win in Full-Time (1.50): Arsenal, for all its struggles over the last month or so in domestic play, has taken care of business in Champions League play. The Gunners were 8-0-0 in group play, outscoring the opposition 23-4. After falling 1-0 to Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of the round of 16, they bounced back with a 2-0 win in the second leg. The Gunners took the first leg against Sporting CP on a Kai Havertz goal in stoppage time by a 1-0 score. Sporting has just one win in their five road matches in Champions League play this season. Seeing how they’ve struggled as the visiting side, your best bet is backing the Gunners here.

Bayern Munich to Win in Full-Time (1.55): Bayern Munich won the first leg of this quarterfinal matchup as they prevailed 2-1 on the road last week. Real Madrid has a dangerous attack, led by Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Arda Guler. The problem is, they’re going to deal with the explosive Bayern attack with Harry Kane, Luis Diaz and Michael Olise in this contest. While there is plenty of firepower on both sides, one has to be concerned about Real Madrid here. Aurelien Tchouameni will miss this match after picking up his third yellow card in last week’s match. That’s a dent in the midfield for Real Madrid and that’s enough to give Bayern the advantage at home.

Champions League Best Bets Today: Other

Real Madrid Over 5.5 Corners (2.50): This is one of those rare times that Real Madrid is playing from a deficit. That means their usual high-octane attack will be turned up to 11 for this contest. We saw Los Blancos rack up a half-dozen corners in the second half last week alone. Trailing by a goal entering this one, you know that Real is going to be aggressive on the offensive end. They should force their way into plenty of corner situations in this one as Bayern plays it safe in front of 40-year-old Manuel Neuer. You could potentially ladder this higher but taking this number gets you plus money at a reasonable target.

Michael Olise, Bayern Munich to Draw an Assist (2.40): We talked above about how high-powered Bayern’s offensive attack is. They have scored 139 goals on the year across all levels of competition this season. Olise has 12 goals and 18 assists in Bundeslinga play as he chases the league record for assists in a season. In Champions League play, he has three goals and six assists in nine starts. With Kane and Diaz out front as well, plus the expectation of offensive fireworks for both sides, look for Olise to be involved in any offensive production Bayern has in this contest.

Viktor Gyökeres, Arsenal Anytime Goal (2.25): Gyökeres is a force for Arsenal and is their top threat to find the back of the net here. He leads the Gunners with 12 goals in Premier League action this season. Gyökeres has four goals and an assist so far in Champions League action. Sporting trails by a goal heading into the second leg of this quarterfinal and that means they will be pressing offensively. Any missteps or turnovers that lead to breaks the other way would make Gyökeres even more dangerous. As it stands, the Gunners will look for at least one goal here and Gyökeres in certainly the best option for them to do just that.
