Big Week in Champions League for English Sides

The UEFA Champions League returns tonight, with Liverpool and Manchester City in action. Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester United feature tomorrow.
Liverpool, Arsenal, and Villa are protecting 100% records, while the two Manchester clubs are looking to bounce back from defeats on matchday two.
Man City Host Athens
After losing at home to holders Paris Saint-Germain last week, Enzo Maresca’s Man City are hoping to bounce back with a European win when AEK Athens visit the Etihad Stadium tonight.
City have started the season in strong style, winning nine of 11 league and cup games. The Manchester giants are the huge favourites to win this one.
Liverpool Looking for Three Wins from Three
Andoni Iraola has made a mixed start to his Anfield career, but Liverpool have won back-to-back games in the Champions League.
After seeing off Atletico Madrid and LASK Linz, the Reds are looking to move on to nine points when they host Spanish side Villarreal this evening.
Can United Bounce Back?
Man United are involved in one of the early kick-offs on Wednesday, as Michael Carrick takes his wounded Red Devils to Italy to face in-form Como.
The Serie A side have been on a rapid rise under Cesc Fabregas, finishing fourth in the top flight last term. Como beat RB Leipzig in their Champions League opener, but they lost to Feyenoord last week. This will be a tricky test for United.
Gunners Travel to Munich
Old European rivals Bayern Munich and Arsenal lock horns in one of the standout Champions League fixtures of the week. The Gunners ended their poor run against the German giants with a 3-1 UCL league-phase win last November.
Bayern were held to a 3-3 draw at Viking last week, while Arsenal eased past Lille. This promises to be a spectacular night at the Allianz Arena.
Villa Hoping to Build on Fenerbahçe Demolition
Aston Villa picked up an historic 6-0 Champions League win over Fenerbahçe last week, moving on to six points. On Wednesday, the Villans host Viking.
The Norwegian side stunned Bayern last week, but getting anything at Villa Park will be a tall order. Unai Emery’s boys will fancy their chances of making it three wins from three.
